The campaign strategists always make a response depending on how incendiary an item becomes. They know that no one can stop it, but it is done for show.
Best example is the Daily Kos and their flat out lies that Obama said needed to stop. He can’t make anyone stop. They did not, but he did issue a statement on MSM.

I was also thinking that if they were to specifically denounce this, someone somewhere would probably twist the words up.

See McCain’s back-peddling on what he meant by the “fundamentals” of the economy… It’s really ugly out there, and sometimes it’s best to let things die down. What gets me is people demonizing Obama, as if he were wearing one of the shirts or paid someone to make it.

I know that some people don’t like him, and I’m not here to convince people to change their minds, but the explosive alarmism that I’m seeing out in the blogs is creeping me out. Someone on another blog just told me that it was Obama’s doing because he hasn’t specifically denounced it.

How is that rational?

I don’t believe that they can, yet we have yet to hear a shout out about this. The Democratic Party machine was made aware of these items within hours of the ad placement.

They can certainly denounce it, but this is a very new brouhaha. If anything, this will sell more of these abominable shirts, which is of course the point, for the uncouth person who made them.

Since when can a political party stop production of a private product?

Problem is that no one wants to claim it. It is done because people will sell themselves to the devil for a penny. No one from the Democrats has yet to pull the plug on this. Trust me, they have access and can stop this idiocy if they want.

There are a lot of sick people in the world, and it only takes one to make a shirt. Why in the world would people think that this is part of Obama’s campaign, and pin this on the entire Democratic party? That’s really irrational.
