Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden said Thursday that paying more in taxes is the patriotic thing to do for wealthier Americans.

“We want to take money and put it back in the pocket of middle-class people,” Biden said in an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

Isn’t this the first premise of socialism?  Redistribution of wealth is an experiment that has been tried and failed.

Under the economic plan proposed by Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, people earning more than $250,000 a year would pay more in taxes while those earning less — the vast majority of American taxpayers — would receive a tax cut.

That tax cut has and is a double edged sword.  If you believe that you will be paying less taxes, think again.   Consider this, If my business is good and I am in that tax bracket, I can assure you that you will be paying taxes indirectly.  I am not about to give up my lifestyle so that you get a break while piggybacking on me.  I made my money and I want to keep it.  I will make sure to find a way to spread the (wealth) tax to you via the cost of my services.  Share the wealth is good but NOT this way.  Let us not forget that those that are creative will become more creative to insure that they do not lose their money.  That is history.

“To the rest of America that’s not patriotism. Raising taxes is about killing jobs and hurting small businesses and making things worse.”  John McCain
