Update #2 Allahpundit at HotAir: Very interesting, someone used part of my old title from this post on 9-23-08, so we will update here with the RNC video
Via Politico, another attempt to jump-start the meme.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how enraged will conservatives be if it turns out after the election that Wurtzel was right, that the media knows more than it’s saying about Obama’s relationship with Ayers but decided to let him lie to the public about it in the interest of seeing him win? 15? 23?
UPDATE: DOCS DETAIL BARACK TIES TO RADICAL Does this mean that we are finally going to get people to start looking at Barack and his friend associations a bit closer?
Should Americans interpret Obama’s inaction for two decades sitting in the pews of Jeremiah Wright’s church as consent? Oh yeah, there again we know the answer: Obama told us he could not disown Wright. In Obama’s case, it’s nothing short of guilt-by-endorsement.
So, the question really needs to be put to the electorate. What might you be endorsing if you elect Barack Obama?

CHICAGO – While Barack Obama has long downplayed his connection to Bill Ayers, a co-founder of the violent Weather Underground radical group, new documents show the two worked much more closely together in starting an educational foundation than has been previously known.
Recently released board-meeting minutes for the Chicago Annenberg Challenge show the two were present together at least six times in 1995 as the foundation’s members discussed how to organize and operate the project, which was Ayers’ brainchild.
Obama has always acknowledged he and Ayers both worked at the foundation, but has insisted they never had more than a passing acquaintance.
When asked by The Post how closely he worked with Obama, Ayers twice said, “It’s in the public record.”
In the Vietnam era, the Weather Underground conducted a series of bombings of official sites. Ayers wrote in his 2001 memoir, “Fugitive Days,” that he helped with the bombings. http://www.nypost.com/seven/09292008/news/politics/docs_detail_barack_ties_to_radical_131209.htm
Barack Obama has NEVER written about his MOST important executive experience.
From 1995 to 1999, he led an education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), and remained on the board until 2001.
The CAC was the brainchild of Bill Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground in the 1960s. Among other feats, Mr. Ayers and his cohorts bombed the Pentagon, and he has never expressed regret for his actions.
Obama’s first run for the Illinois State Senate was kicked off in 1995 at Ayers’s home.
Sen. Obama dismissed Mr. Ayers as just “a guy who lives in my neighborhood,” and “not somebody who I exchange ideas with on a regular basis.” Yet documents in the CAC archives make clear that Mr. Ayers and Mr. Obama were partners in the Chicago Annenberg Challenge.
The CAC was created to improve Chicago’s public schools. Funding was derived from a national education initiative by Ambassador Walter Annenberg. In early 1995, Mr. Obama was appointed the first chairman of the board, which handled fiscal matters. Obama, a former community organizer who had just come out of law school nailed the top spot as the chairperson at a new foundation? How? The other members of the fiscal committee were high profile bankers.
Mr. Ayers co-chaired the foundation’s other key body, the “Collaborative,” which shaped education policy.
The Daley archives show that Mr. Obama and Mr. Ayers worked as a team to advance the CAC agenda.
In response to my questions, the Obama campaign issued a statement saying that Mr. Ayers had nothing to do with Obama’s “recruitment” to the board. The statement says Deborah Leff and Patricia Albjerg Graham (presidents of other foundations) recruited him. Yet the archives show that, along with Ms. Leff and Ms. Graham, Mr. Ayers was one of a working group of five who assembled the initial board in 1994. Mr. Ayers founded CAC and was its guiding spirit. No one would have been appointed the CAC chairman without his approval.
The CAC’s agenda flowed from Mr. Ayers’s educational philosophy, which called for infusing students and their parents with a radical political commitment, and which downplayed achievement tests in favor of activism.
” Mr. Ayers wrote that teachers should be community organizers dedicated to provoking resistance to American racism and oppression. His preferred alternative? “I’m a radical, Leftist, small ‘c’ communist,” CAC translated Mr. Ayers’s radicalism into practice. Instead of funding schools directly, it required schools to affiliate with “external partners,” which actually got the money. CAC disbursed money through various far-left community organizers, such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (or Acorn).
ACORN is that pesky group that has been charged felony indictments throughout the US in conjunction with voter registration. They register dead people, children, prisoners, anyone that they think they can get away with. http://www.rottenacorn.com/activityMap.html
CAC’s in-house evaluators comprehensively studied the effects of its grants on the test scores of Chicago public-school students. They found no evidence of educational improvement. CAC also funded programs designed to promote “leadership” among parents. Ostensibly this was to enable parents to advocate on behalf of their children’s education. In practice, it meant funding Mr. Obama’s alma mater, the Developing Communities Project, to recruit parents to its overall political agenda.
The Daley documents show that Mr. Ayers sat as an ex-officio member of the board Mr. Obama chaired through CAC’s first year. He also served on the board’s governance committee with Mr. Obama, and worked with him to craft CAC bylaws. Mr. Ayers made presentations to board meetings chaired by Mr. Obama. Mr. Ayers spoke for the Collaborative before the board. Likewise, Mr. Obama periodically spoke for the board at meetings of the Collaborative.
Mr. Ayers’s defenders claim that he has redeemed himself with public-spirited education work. That claim is hard to swallow if you understand that he views his education work as an effort to stoke resistance to an oppressive American system. He likes to stress that he learned of his first teaching job while in jail for a draft-board sit-in. For Mr. Ayers, teaching and his 1960s radicalism are two sides of the same coin.
Mr. Ayers is the founder of the “small schools” movement (heavily funded by CAC), in which individual schools built around specific political themes push students to “confront issues of inequity, war, and violence.” He believes teacher education programs should serve as “sites of resistance” to an oppressive system. (His teacher-training programs were also CAC funded.) The point, says Mr. Ayers in his “Teaching Toward Freedom,” is to “teach against oppression,” against America’s history of evil and racism, thereby forcing social transformation.
The Obama campaign has cried foul when Bill Ayers comes up, claiming “guilt by association.” Yet the issue here isn’t guilt by association; it’s guilt by participation. As CAC chairman, Mr. Obama was lending moral and financial support to Mr. Ayers and his radical circle. That is a story even if Mr. Ayers had never planted a single bomb 40 years ago.

That Obama is a Marxist/mohammedan is quite evident. That is what he would have learned in Indonesia. It was once called Sukarnoism. comment by Arizona Neanderthal

- This candidate has a tissue thin work experience resume.
- He has not managed large groups of personnel, departments, material, or P&L statements.
- This candidate’s own writing exhibits a deep-seeded anger and resentment towards people of the Caucasian race over the issue of slavery.
- His emotional gravitas is centered upon his African heritage, and his belief that the white man is responsible for global poverty and unequal sharing of wealth.
- The candidate’s personal associations since childhood have been mostly with radical African Americans, Muslims, and communists; those who harbor anger towards The United States of America.
- Particularly disturbing is his lengthy relationship with Bill Ayers, an unrepentant Weatherman radical who bombed government buildings and abdicated the overthrow of the United States.
- Given the current global situation of nearly twelve thousand Muslim acts of terrorism since 911, it is disturbing to find his close associations with Muslim groups, MAFO2008.com.
- I have highlighted passages in both books and find one particularly disturbing: “Should the political winds shift in an ugly direction I will side with the Muslims.”
- The candidate has surrounded himself with anti-American grievance mongers, and appears to manipulate “typical white people” by appealing to their guilt about slavery.
- He is a socialist, and totally disenfranchised from the history of “root America.”
- The candidate refuses to discuss his years at Columbia University, although he lived off campus and made few friends.
- He will not release his application to the state bar notes which raises questions on several issues including the use of drugs.
- Very little is available about his experience with the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a foundation that spent $100 million with no discernable benefit for the schools and students that it was putatively designed to help.

Ayers and Hallett were not just passive observers in this process. The Chicago Annenberg Challenge was their baby. They played a direct role in the selection of the board to run their brain child. And they did not walk away from this outfit. As Ayers notes in his c.v. he was co-founder and co-chair. In fact, when the Jim Lehrer News Hour sought out someone to talk about the Annenberg Challenge in April 1995 guess who they interviewed? Yep, William Ayers.
Given the central role that Ayers played in the launch of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge does it make sense that he had no role or thought in seeing that Barack Obama was named Chairman of the Board to oversee the activities of the Ayers/Hallett created foundation? And we are asked to believe that he had no contact of any consequence with William Ayers? That Ayers, according to Obama, was just some guy in the neighborhood? It is nothing more than a bald faced lie.
I am not stating that Obama should be implicated in Ayer’s terrorism because Obama was only 8 years old when the bombings went down. This is about the people whom he surrounds himself with and who have influence over him and his policies. Ayers is a terrorist. An unrepentant one at that. Do you believe it’s ok for Obama to associate, be friends with, or work with him? Would you keep someone like Ayers around as any kind of associate? And about attending a racist church for 20 years? Denial, and only when called on it. That is the Obama I know.
