Obama never showed any leadership in attempting to solve the problem, leadership which McCain showed in 2005-6 with S190. Maybe future ads could be more specific to this point.

I’m guessing he doesn’t want to make more than one statement on this one unlike the Georgia Russia Crisis where he had to make three different statements before he sort of got it.  This is along the same line as the Obama Biden gaffes:

Joe Biden’s trashing his campaign’s moronic e-mail attack ad: “Terrible.”

Barack Obama’s trashing Joe Biden’s initial refusal to back the AIG bailout: He “should have waited.”

Joe Biden’s changing the campaign’s position on clean coal: He’s against it. Obama’s for it.
