I think Donald Trump would have NO problem firing Barack Obama.
He doesn’t know when to go back to work. This is a crisis. Does he understand? I don’t think so and neither do others. Country First!
A Cause Greater Than Self…McCain is a man of his word.
Obama, the ignorant is arrogant beyond belief. He said he is multitasking? He does not see the urgency in doing his work. He is STILL a paid Senator. Did he forget? He is on the clock right now. This whole mess is McCain’s to profit from. He needs to come out and place the blame where it lies. Right at the feet of both the Dems and the GOP. Of course, we as taxpayers and citizens, have the most to lose. Forget the lipstick. Some Ky or Vaseline anyone? Just saying.

“I do not believe that the plan on the table will pass as it currently stands, and we are running out of time.”
McCain said he has spoken to Obama about his plans and asked the Democratic presidential nominee to join him.
McCain also canceled his planned appearance Wednesday on CBS’ “Late Show With David Letterman” program.
A senior McCain adviser, Mark Salter, said the campaign would suspend all advertising and campaign events until a workable deal is reached on the bailout proposal – but only if the Obama campaign agrees to do the same.
“America this week faces an historic crisis in our financial system. We must pass legislation to address this crisis. If we do not, credit will dry up, with devastating consequences for our economy. People will no longer be able to buy homes and their life savings will be at stake. Businesses will not have enough money to pay their employees. If we do not act, ever corner of our country will be impacted. We cannot allow this to happen,” McCain said in remarks to reporters from New York.
A senior Obama campaign official told FOX News that Obama still plans to go forward with Friday’s debate.
McCain’s move suggests he’s serious about dealing with the bailout since he had negotiated strongly to make the first of the three debates between the candidates on foreign policy, McCain’s strong suit.

(9/24/08) McCain Campaign Responds to Obama Camp’s Lie About Calling McCain This Morning for a Joint Statement on Bailout – Obama Camp Lied!
FROM SPOX BILL BURTON/obama campAt 8:30 this morning, Senator Obama called Senator McCain to ask him if he would join in issuing a joint statement outlining their shared principles and conditions for the Treasury proposal and urging Congress and the White House to act in a bipartisan manner to pass such a proposal. At 2:30 this afternoon, Senator McCain returned Senator Obamas call and agreed to join him in issuing such a statement. The two campaigns are currently working together on the details.
THE MCCAIN CAMPAIGN SAYS NOT QUITE TRUE:
Per Brian Rogers/McCain camp:Senator Obama phoned Senator McCain at 8:30 am this morning but did not reach him. The topic of Senator Obamas call to Senator McCain was never discussed. Senator McCain was meeting with economic advisers and talking to leaders in Congress throughout the day prior to calling Senator Obama. At 2:30 pm, Senator McCain phoned Senator Obama and expressed deep concern that the plan on the table would not pass as it currently stands. He asked Senator Obama to join him in returning to Washington to lead a bipartisan effort to solve this problem
UPDATE–IT GETS EVEN BETTER – Obama didn’t know what to do, so he called Dick Durbin last night who told him the debate was more important, and that the call actually happened at 9am, not 8:30am. Durbin also says its better to meet behind closed doors. Durbin just said the following on the Senate floor. This is from a live blogger:
SEN DICK DURBIN, D-IL SENATE FLOOR *DURBIN DEFENDS OBAMA* *DEBATES SHOULD GO FWD *NO NEED FOR LIGHTS & CAMS OF CAMPGN TO COME TO HILL* 16:14:19 late last night sen obama emailed – needed to talk to me. I called him 8a this mornin.. 16:14:23 He told me – said i’m gong to call sen mccain 16:14:27 suggest both come out w/ joint statment..congress come out asap 16:14:38 find a solution w/ 4 basic solutions: transparency; protect taxpayers; give helping hand to homeowners facing foreclosure; do something about exec comp 16:15:10 Think best to depoliticize 16:15:14 He asked me reax – said good idea 16:15:21 At 9a, obama made that call 16:15:26 Sen McCain returned tha tcall 1230p a few hours later 16:15:35 They issued statement – good idea..estabs core principles 16:15:44 There’s been suggestion by mccain – suspend campgn and come back to wash. He can make decision…he’ll be bringing pres campaign to wash. Not sure that will create bipartisan, nonpartisan atmosphere 16:16:14 I think we understand challenges. And we also understand – best to meet in closed door mtgs – come up w/ plan that is bipartisan 16:16:31 I think we should go fwd 16:16:36 During course of last statement my R colleagues — 2 came over and said this isnt political 16:16:51 Lets kind of remember where we are. Hasnt been 72 hours we’ve seen Admin’’s proposal. $700b…virtually no strongs 16:17:09 Some of us feel need to be careful 16:17:57I think we need to do this in thoughtful, quiet, sensible way. I think joint statment was right tone 16:18:12 Now we need to go to work. Bringing in all lights and cams to bring pres campaign here – not answer 16:18:25 Also know one of most imp things before us Friday — 1st pres debate. I think will be widely followed…present decisons 16:18:45 Need to move fwd and make sure those take place…so on pres and VP level those take place…Now we need to roll up sleeves 16:19:03 follow core principles Obama and McCain
