UPDATE:  The National Enquirer (you know them as the ones who outed John Edwards) has the beef on the Vera Baker and Obama lovefest.

The ENQUIRER has also learned that on-site hotel surveillance video camera footage could provide indisputable evidence.

“Investigators are attempting to obtain a tape from the hotel (that) shows Vera and Barack together,” the DC insider confided.

“If the tape surfaces, it will explode the scandal.”

What I have confirmed via both the intelligence and strategic communications source and the (now former) McLean Clark National Operations Director is that NewsMax, the National Enquirer, ABC News, and NBC News have all had the basic facts of the Baker-Obama liaison for some time now, and so far, none have come forward with any reporting.

As a tabloid, the National Enquirer could have a profit motive in holding the story until after the election. If Obama loses the election as the result of a scandal, it would be a short-term sensation. But if a scandal were to explode around a new President-elect, it could be a lucrative story for the tabloid for far longer.

ABC News and NBC News have contacted the driver (he told me), who verified the first-hand account related to reporters for each of these news organizations. These news organizations may be “slow rolling” the story, purposefully slowing its release so that it breaks only after the November 4. This may be for both ideological reasons—many journalists support Obama’s political platform—and for the more pragmatic motive shared with the Enquirer of better ratings and higher profit if a dramatic scandal embroils a new presidency.

What role did she really play on the Obama 2004 Senate campaign, because FEC records show she was paid as “Finance Director”, when another woman, Claire Serdiuk, was the woman who appeared on all the actual fundraising appeals as “Finance Director”. It’s never been our experience to see a campaign with more than one “Finance Director”.  There are “Assistant Finance Directors”, but that’s not how either Baker or Serdiuk were billed. And Baker never appeared as “Finance Director” on anything but the FEC filing that we can find. So, what job did she perform for Obama in 2004, where she was instead compensated as “Finance Director”?

People contributed funds to Democrats’ campaigns for the purpose of getting these men elected to office — so the quid pro quo with those donations was the implied promise the funds given would be applied to efforts to win their respective races.

That money was not taxed – and was given to candidates for their campaigns, not to women who needed money for any other reason.

We doubt people would have contributed to Edwards if they knew that money would go to Rielle “Lisa Druck” Hunter.

We don’t believe people would have contributed to Mahoney if it was common knowledge those funds would end up in Patricia Allen’s hands.

And we wonder how many Obama donors in 2004 knew his Senate campaign had not one, but TWO, Finance Directors — with only one of them, Claire Serdiuk, actually working in the capacity of “Finance Director”.

It’s not clear what Vera Baker did for the Obama 2004 campaign, what she did to earn her very comfortable salary, or what’s she doing now in Martinique, but there sure is a pattern of suspicious payments and questionable employment surrounding the men of the Democratic party these days.

Can anyone shed any light on this?
