UPDATE 103008:  Feds will not make perverse Brunhilda Brunner reveal voter mismatches. That is correct.  OHIO can blow this right out of the water now with its rampant, fraudulent voter registrations.

A Department of Justice spokesman said the department will not intervene or investigate Ohio voter registration issues, though it reserves the right to step in if that is deemed necessary.

The department’s civil rights division has been “in discussion” with Brunner about what steps she has taken to comply with federal voting laws and so far is satisfied, said Jamie Hais, the civil rights division’s spokesman.

Brunhilda is upheld and she does NOT HAVE TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL LAW.

The Supreme Court on Friday lifted a federal judge’s order that would have required Ohio election officials to set up new procedures to verify voter registration across the state in the weeks before the Nov. 4 balloting.  The unsigned (”Per Curiam”) order is here.

The order blunts an effort by the Ohio Republican Party to gain access to registration data that would enable it to challenge voters’ eligibility at polling places.

“Blunts?”  How about trashes everything that America is supposed to stand for?  1 vote per 1 American citizen.  Verifiable citizen that is.

The state GOP had complained that the Ohio Secretary of State had violated her duty, under federal election procedures law, to share with county election boards the lists of voters whose names in a voter registration database do not match data in the state’s drivers’ license files.  The GOP argued that the secretary of state had put a stop to required efforts to pass along the non-matching data so that local election officials could deal with it. Lack of matches could be the basis for challenges.

The Supreme Court said it was not expressing any opinion on whether the state official had violated any duty under federal law.  But, it said, it was not persuaded that the federal law gives a private party — like the state GOP — a right to go to court to enforce those provisions in the Help America Vote Act.

Well, we can use purple ink on a finger to discourage multiple votes by one person, but we cannot verify how many absentee votes are matachable.  That Brunner, she is a smarmy one.  She ran the clock out.   Brunhilda stands for INJUSTICE.

Jack Justice has been voting since he turned 18. Typically his family takes him to their neighborhood precinct. This time Primus Industries, his adult day rehab program, took him to vote. His family was shocked, but what shocked them more was that Jack claims that his aide commandeered his vote.

The U.S. Supreme Court agreed with Democratic Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, granting her a stay on Friday to a temporary restraining order from the 6th Circuit Court that ordered her to provide a system for implementing voter fraud prevention methods.

The decision by the full court repudiates the lower court’s ruling siding with the Ohio Republican Party and ordering Brunner to verify records of about 200,000 of 666,000 new voters this year whose driver’s license and Social Security records don’t match information in other government databases.
