From what I can tell, both candidates seem inclined to follow Bush’s approach by dangling the same incentives package, roughly, that Rice and the EU have been waving at Tehran for months, with Obama willing to dangle it in person in hopes that a little face time with Hopenchange will seal the deal.
And if that doesn’t work, as it hasn’t worked for so long now?
Neither one’s saying, but the CW says Maverick will attack while The One will look the other way and let Iran have the bomb in the interest of avoiding another Middle East war.
For what it’s worth, Debka claims the new president will have a matter of weeks before the point of no return is reached.
Does this mean that the Draft will be reinstated as well? Biden did say that we would not understand but must stand behind Obama whatever he decides.
