Thanks Ace for the pic.

All three papers were tossed out of Obama’s campaign plane.  That is what you get for not being on board with the one.  Payback times says Fox News.

Washington Times:

The Obama campaign informed The Washington Times Thursday evening of its decision, which came two days after The Times editorial page endorsed Senator John McCain over Mr. Obama. The Times editorial page runs completely independent of the news department.

“This feels like the journalistic equivalent of redistributing the wealth. We spent hundreds of thousands of dollars covering Senator Obama’s campaign, traveling on his plane, and taking our turn in the reporter’s pool, only to have our seat given away to someone else in the last days of the campaign,” said Washington Times Executive Editor John Solomon. News organizations typically pay campaigns for the cost of traveling on the candidate’s planes.

Meanwhile, John McCain’s presidential campaign responded to the Times being kicked off the plane as “… not surprising.”

“The least transparent and the least vetted candidate in history is now the least accessible — not surprising,” said McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds.

If you don’t make me glo, you gotta go.

Gateway Pundit:

After a week of quiet but desperate behind-the-scenes negotiations, the reporters of the three papers heard last night that they were definitely off for the final swing. They are already planning how to cover the final days by flying commercial or driving from event to event. Do you suppose the LA Times will be moved to business class for their loyalty?

But, of course, these reports were published before Obama was linked to this former PLO operative.
In today’s New York Times’ article on Khalidi they omit Khalidi’s association with the PLO:

He taught at universities in Lebanon until the mid-’80s, and some critics accuse him of having been a spokesman for the Palestine Liberation Organization. Mr. Khalidi has denied working for the group, and says he was consulted as an expert by reporters seeking to understand it.

The NY Times sure won’t have to worry about getting kicked off the plane.

Some told the DRUDGE REPORT that the reporters are being ousted to bring on documentary film-makers to record the final days; others expect to see on board more sympathetic members of the media, including the NY TIMES' Maureen Dowd, who once complained that she was barred from McCain's Straight Talk Express airplane.

Barack Obama’s campaign made a few last-minute changes on the campaign plane and oddly enough, all of those left without chairs were from papers that endorsed John McCain.

The Obama campaign has decided to heave out three newspapers from its plane for the final days of its blitz across battleground states — and all three endorsed Sen. John McCain for president! The NY POST, WASHINGTON TIMES and DALLAS MORNING NEWS have all been told to move out by Sunday to make room for network bigwigs — and possibly for the inclusion of reporters from two black magazines, ESSENCE and JET, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Had they acted a few weeks ago, they could have made it look like Team Obama wanted to give secondary media outlets a chance.  Now it just looks like vindictiveness, and perhaps even worse.  Obama and his supporters have gotten vicious with reporters who ask questions and do research that put Obama in a bad light, and this adds to the general pattern we’ve seen since the primaries.

It also looks a little self-indulgent.  Obama’s clearing room on the plane for — what?  Documentarians who will produce hagiographies about his historic importance.  That fits into another pattern we’ve seen for months, one marked with fake presidential seals, The Barackopolis, and infomercials.  In the coming Age of Obama, only the worshipers will get front-row seats to history.
