Palin insisted she never asked for the expensive wardrobe purchased for her use on the presidential campaign.
“I never asked for anything more than a Diet Dr. Pepper once in a while,” Palin said as she returned to the governor’s office from her two-month odyssey as the GOP vice presidential nominee.
Who ordered the hit on Palin? Everyone, apparently.
That’s right. Everyone, because someone has to take the fall. Two women ran for the two highest offices in the country. It just had to be a woman.
Anyone ever heard the saying, “They eat their own?”
Update: The MSNBC clip’s long but worth watching, especially the part about double standards for women candidates.

Yes, women have to take the fall.

Palin maintains grace and dignity. Those surrounding her had a great deal of responsibility to help her do her job, which was to help McCain win the election. But since there was mutiny in the high ranks for seemingly self serving reasons, they sabotaged her for their own reputations. They look bad. Palin stands tall as she was a good soldier. Shame on the minions for hanging their dirty laundry, and then trying to do the same to Palin.

Thank God for her strength and integrity.

Governor Sarah Palin clearly knows who she is and she is a strong person. She is comfortable in her own skin and doesn’t appear to have the usual hangups and psychological baggage that most politicians have these days. That is why she was a breath of fresh air. Obama, on the other hand is so messed up he really stresses me out just to listen to him. I really don’t understand why people find him “inspiring”, he’s quite the opposite to me. We will spend 4 years living through the daily Obama-Drama.

Palin was truly a breath of fresh air. In these days, most politicians’ first and foremost objective is the furtherance of their own careers and then they do whatever will advance their party’s interests, regardless of what the country needs. Or maybe second is whatever will benefit the lobbyists and the interests they represent. Anyway, whatever is good for the country and its citizens is about the last thing most of them think about, and she didn’t seem like that. There’s a reason the people of Alaska, who know her best, are so fond of her, and it’s not because she was a selfish diva. I don’t mean this as a slam on Clinton, only as a comparison, but after two years of Governor of Arkansas, he got kicked out on his behind; after two years of Governor of Alaska, she has the highest approval rating in the country. They will be glad to have her back, but it’s the country’s loss; and a pox on those cowardly jerks who are slandering her.
