He left the hospital at 12:17 p.m., smiling and looking chipper in a dark suit and vibrant red tie.
“He was given a clean bill of health,” Talamona said at a briefing for reporters earlier in the day. “There’s no indication that he suffered a stroke or any heart-related incident. It really appears to have been a fainting spell.”
Fox news update this morning:
White House press secretary Dana Perino sent out word to reporters that Bush telephoned his attorney general just before 7 a.m. EST Friday and said that Mukasey “sounded well and is getting excellent care.”
Drudge reports that Attorney General who was 20 minutes into his speech at a Federalist dinner collapsed this evening. Thoughts are that he might have had a stroke.
Associate Attorney General Kevin O’Connor said Mukasey began shaking while addressing the Federalist Society at a Washington hotel.
“He just started shaking and he collapsed,” O’Connor said. “They’re very concerned.”
O’Connor said he did not know whether Mukasey, 67, had regained consciousness.”
Michelle Malkin has a link to the speech.
We pray that he will recover quickly at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington.
