I doubt the South Koreans ever trusted the North on any of these “nonaggression” pacts. When I was stationed in the South many years ago, we always suspected that American soldiers were there to keep the South from invading the North. It will be interesting to see how much influence Obama has on the current ROK government and what happens when Kim finally kicks the bucket.

It is scary to think that Obama is going to be the man in charge if that occurs. The “nonagression” pacts have been a farce. North Korea is probably going to be Bambi’s most difficult test. Crazy Kim is so far out there.
