January 2009

I think France is onto something.

France’s hard-line new immigration minister is set to implement legislation that would allow DNA testing of new arrivals.

A recent report said there was often doubt over the authenticity of papers in family applications for visas.

It claimed that in African countries such as Senegal, Ivory Coast and Togo up to 80 per cent of birth and marriage certificates were forged.

Not a bad idea.

Officials have now uncovered this stunning photograph of a Taliban fighter conducting a training flight with his Taliban geese, likely in preparation for an attack on US Air Flight 1549.

2009 A year to defend Free Speech!!

Yet instead of celebrating this notable anniversary by reaffirming human rights, the world in 2008 saw certain fundamentally important human rights nearly disappear under intense pressure from Islamic countries that oppose freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and the equality of all people before the law. Islamic efforts to create exceptional privileges for Muslims in the area of human rights have been advancing for quite some time, and they made great strides in 2008.

And then there is our former president stating that Hamas can be trusted.

UPDATE:  Citi aborts.

It’s a PLANE.

Hmm, that $45 billion sure gets spent on stuff that I would consider a luxury during these hard times.

The French-made luxury jet seats up to 12 in a plush interior with leather seats, sofas and a customizable entertainment center, according to Dassault’s sales literature. It can cruise 5,950 miles before refueling and has a top speed of 559 mph.

Anyhow, this is a  super nice one that you, the taxpayer will NEVER EVER get to use.

But you may look at it.

Spoiler Sen. Levin wants the Treasury to halt the purchase.

I think he is upset that the plane is not American made.

ROFLMAO

Blago was actually considering offering Oprah the vacant Illinois senate seat.

Oprah not interested? Sure.

“I’m pretty amused by the whole thing,” Winfrey told Gayle King’s Sirius satellite radio program. “My plan was to get up and watch ‘Good Morning America and work out. Then I thought: ‘Let me just lay here another half hour.’”

“If I had been watching,” she added, “as I (normally) watch, from the treadmill, I would have fallen off the treadmill.”

Listen to Winfrey’s interview here.

Another Princes post offering.  I don’t think Oprah would be up for financial disclosure.

UPDATE:  Enough noise and maybe she will stop. The fun has begun…blog commentary, just hysterical.

What is with this woman?  I thought she was a a Catholic.  She does have 5 kids of her own.

I get it. The government pays for reproductive services so that the states won’t have to dish out more health coverage for the kids.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi boldly defended a move to add birth control funding to the new economic “stimulus” package, claiming “contraception will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government.

Perhaps, we should rethink that open borders stuff?

And then there is that pesky “born” here and your parents get to stay thingy.

Yeah, tough times call for tough measures.  On the other hand, the progressives might want to keep encouraging the sale of sperm and eggs to help stimulate the economy.

The Vatican will NOT be sending a Valentine to Team O this year.

What will become of the universal health care art if Nancy P is allowed to run amok?

Take your mitts off the uterus, will ya?
