Eleven years to become a US citizen only to be told that you are a fool?

Shame on you Nancy, the unAmerican Speaker of the House and Janet Napolitano, head of Homeland Security.

When will you listen to those that have traversed the difficult and long, arduous path to citizenship.

Where are your values?  What laws are you defending?

Perhaps you don’t understand that saying that nothing comes for free.

You soil the US Constitution every time you pretend to uphold the laws of the land.

When was the last time that you were scrutinized beyond belief?   We are a nation of immigrants.

The USA is a beautiful tapestry.  You mock those who have come here legally to serve and love this country as much as I do.

Your actions tell me that you don’t love this country.

You both are unwilling to defend the laws of this country but will take every opportunity to deficate on them.

One of the journalists is Lisa Ling’s sister.

The U.S. State Department confirmed Thursday that two U.S. journalists have been taken into custody, apparently by North Korean border guards, in the area of the Tuman River marking the border between North Korea and China.

CNN has learned that the two were a part of a group of four who were filming near the Tuman River area, on the border between China and North Korea. As the North Korean guards tried to arrest them, an American male and a Chinese driver fled; the two women were caught.

13 firms who  owe back taxes were recipients of the bailout.

At least 13 firms receiving billions of dollars in bailout money owe a total of more than $220 million in unpaid federal taxes, a key lawmaker said Thursday.

Rep. John Lewis, chairman of a House subcommittee overseeing the federal bailout, said two firms owe more than $100 million apiece.

Enter Tim Geithner whose job was to oversee this.

Banks and other firms receiving federal money were required to sign contracts stating they had no unpaid taxes, Lewis said. But he said the Treasury Department did not ask them to turn over their tax records.

Drumroll please.

Here are the top 23 recipients as of the date of that index (late January, 2009).  Unless this list has changed drastically in totals recently, half of these companies, according to Rep Lewis, are delinquent in more than $220 million in IRS taxes.

One of the best cat fights on the net. Just the facts mam, please answer the simple question.

Outraged, Congresswoman Foxx (R-NC) took to the floor to demand that Congresswoman Kilroy (D-OH) explain why Kilroy and the Democrats would not stop AIG from paying out the bonuses.

Kilroy flat out could not offer up any answer. Making it more delightful, Foxx refused to back down until she had an answer. Hilarity ensued.
