$100 million is a lot this week. $8 billion is less?
Note Tapper’s follow-up about how Gibbs, just weeks ago, found the idea of $8 billion in earmarks — 80 times the size of this budget cut — “minuscule” in the context of the appropriations bill.
New $ math problem.
Correct me if I am wrong, but aren’t these microscopic spending cuts?
Where’s the beef?
Rather than pretend to care about spending, the president could just double down, and call all those extra conferences “stimulus” spending. Of course, that would be cynical.
Hey, let’s not play dumb Mr Gibbs. Flashback.
Remember when Obama, the junior Senator requested $860,000,000 in earmarks?
$100,000,000 in cuts?
He considered that small chump change as a junior Senator from Illinois.

I wish the elementary school Gibbs is playing hooky from would give him the hook and take him back. He is an embarrassment.

DE, is there no shame with these people? I look at Gibb and I am struck by the lack of scruples these people have.

It pisses me off at how happy they all are. The country is screwed and they act as if it’s a joke.
Well they’re the joke.
April 21, 2009 at 4:40 pm
DE, the joke is not going to be fun for long.

They want to cut spending. I’ll tell them how–keep Barky from travelling all over the place, stop the worthless press conferences, and get rid of the 50,000 czars he has appointed (can anyone say patronage positions!).

No cameras and he doesn’t exist. Patronage positions is spot on. Pay to play…this arse learned his lessons well.
