See for yourself, possible 2-3 million?
So says Fox News, via the Standard. Lefties keep assuring me on Twitter that western meddling will only make it easier for the regime to demonize the protesters, but (a) the demonization’s going to happen anyway, (b) no one’s asking Obama to send in the Marines, just to speak up, and (c) Angela Merkel managed to issue a statement earlier today calling the Basij thuggery “completely unacceptable” without killing the uprising in its crib. And still, from the White House, nothing. To think, some commentators are accusing The One of “cowardly silence.”

So eager for a leader they can believe in, lefties (and I’ve been more progressive aka left most of the time than “conservative,” so I do not use the term as criticism) are ignoring that Obama is selling out women to consolidate a global boys’ club power base. This will not be good for progressive politics or for people anywhere.
As a dad (who if in mullah-oppressed Iran and under onslaught would be like the dad in the picture holding his injured daughter’s head, pictured on my top post today about Iran) — http://thelongestwar.wordpress.com/ —
I am gravely concerned for all the daughters of this world.
When will large numbers of people wake up? The truth of any political regime isn’t about the ideological spin and the political pitch, or who looks best in a smile and a suit — it’s about what the politicians actually do (or, in this case about Iran, don’t do).

The regime is an oppressive regime toward women.
How this will end is beyond comprehension. I believe that without the world speaking up loudly, it will end badly.
It is about action. It matters not that we have a POTUS that speaks softly, he means little if anything. His speech about the brutality of what is happening right now is filled with nothingness. He has turned his back on Israel, what makes those in Iran think that he will do anything for them?
