Mousavi Was the Butcher of Beirut « Dprogram.net.
He may yet turn out to be the avatar of Iranian democracy, but three decades ago Mir-Hossein Mousavi was waging a terrorist war on the United States that included bloody attacks on the U.S. embassy and Marine Corps barracks in Beirut.
Mousavi, prime minister for most of the 1980s, personally selected his point man for the Beirut terror campaign, Ali Akbar Mohtashemi-pur, and dispatched him to Damascus as Iran’s ambassador, according to former CIA and military officials.
We need to focus our support on the people of Iran and not Mousavi, and hope that they can soon choose leaders outside of the mullahcracy that has choked Iran for 30 years.
And let us not forget his lovely wife.
Rahnavard, 64, a sculptor and academic, broke the mold of Iranian politics by campaigning openly alongside her spouse. She has been compared to Michelle Obama.

Of course, this photo of her stomping on the US Flag ala William Ayers is probably not going to be highly circulated.
His wife, Zahra Rahnavard, is making campaign appearances with him wearing an Iranian-style Islamic veil. Some in the West are even calling her the “Michelle Obama” of Iran. And yet, a recent photograph from an official Iranian news agency shows her stomping on an American flag.

From an Islamic blog, comes additional information about the wife of Iran’s “reform” candidate, Zahra Rahnavard, including her love for Islam and the Qur’an – which she teaches; jihad, Sayid Qutb and other Islamic martyrs. As well as her hatred for the United States – where she lived for several years – Israel, and Western feminists.

this is why I’m outraged that Obama even SUGGESTED releasing the so-called torture pics from Gitmo: “Lyons, sometimes called “the father” of the Navy SEALs’ Red Cell counter-terror unit, also fingered Mousavi for the 1988 truck bombing of the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Center in Naples, Italy, that killed five persons, including the first Navy woman to die in a terrorist attack.” We left port the day before that happened. somebody drove a truck right up to the fucking USO & left a bomb. Italian civilians working inside were killed in the explosion too. I’m so sick of BHussein’s head games. he & his synchophants don’t understand we have mil personnel all over the world that are vulnerable when traveling off base. then there’s Senator Boxer with her sensitive personal issues with the military. screw her too!

I had read that Rafsanjani’s family had been arrested as well as 1st & second level of Mousavi support staff.

we have MEchele & Pelosi stomping on our flag. what’s the difference? Amadinajerk’s wife is prolly chained in the basement. they have to work with what’s given. Iran’s Prez nominees are pre-selected much like Mullah Dean & Brazila chose the ONe. voting results pre-determined by community organizers.
BHO has finally come out strong for the protesters. they can feel confident that if they ask, BHussein Captain Amererika is there with helping hand ready to smash them like a flies. Barry’s downshifting into campaign mode since his ratings took a dive. words faux-forceful, timing bad as usual. i just figured why he fears the US will be accused of instigating protests. Turkey doesn’t want refugees. they already have a problem with Kurdish extremists (who are known for honor killings).

Thanks for the link. There are several videos surfacing on Twitter with women who are defying the Theocracy by taking off the clothing. I worry about them raging. They will die. They are also asking that they refuse to wear the headwear to the rally tomorrow. Prayers for those women. They are second class citizens to the theocracy. The woman on the Time cover has reportedly been killed.
