White House Health Reform Communications Director is Former ABC News Correspondent.

It turns out the Director of Communications for the White House Office of Health Reform, since last month, is former ABC News correspondent Linda Douglass, who left journalism last year to join the Obama campaign.

Sweet.

King Amendment Would Block ACORN from 2010 Census

June 16th, 2009 by Matthew VadumRep. Steve King (R-Iowa) is offering an amendment to the fiscal 2010 Commerce-Justice-Science appropriations bill that would block ACORN from participating in the 2010 Census. The amendment comes the month after King called for a probe of ACORN’s twisted finances.

Here is the text of King’s press release:

King Amendment Would Keep ACORN Out of 2010 Census

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Steve King introduced an amendment to H.R. 2847, the Commerce-Justice-Science Appropriations Bill, to keep the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) out of the 2010 Census. King’s amendment would bar taxpayer dollars in the bill provided to the Census Bureau from being disbursed to ACORN.

King also introduced another amendment that would bar any taxpayer dollars in the bill from being provided to ACORN. The House will begin debating the legislation and amendments this evening.

As the national debate on health care reform intensifies, I am deeply concerned and disappointed with ABC's astonishing decision to exclude opposing voices on this critical issue on June 24, 2009. Next Wednesday, ABC News will air a primetime health care reform �town hall� at the White House with President Barack Obama. In addition, according to an ABC News report, GOOD MORNING AMERICA, WORLD NEWS, NIGHTLINE and ABC�s web news �will all feature special programming on the president�s health care agenda.� This does not include the promotion, over the next 9 days, the president�s health care agenda will receive on ABC News programming.

I want to know WTF is the urgency to ram this down our throats?   Anyone?  White House?  Anyone? Team Zero?  Anyone?  Didn’t VP just admit that you farkedup on the stimulus and the creation of all those jobs?

Lefties keep assuring me on Twitter that western meddling will only make it easier for the regime to demonize the protesters, but (a) the demonization’s going to happen anyway, (b) no one’s asking Obama to send in the Marines, just to speak up, and (c) Angela Merkel managed to issue a statement earlier today calling the Basij thuggery “completely unacceptable” without killing the uprising in its crib. And still, from the White House, nothing. To think, some commentators are accusing The One of “cowardly silence.”
