Mr. Gates on Yale (that darned white institution), that he graduated from.

To his eventual embarrassment, he wrote in his Yale application:

“As always, whitey now sits in judgment of me, preparing to cast my fate. It is your decision either to let me blow with the wind as a nonentity or to encourage the development of self. Allow me to prove myself.”

He was substantial enough to get into Yale anyway, politicized enough to protest racism and the Vietnam War, but never so disheartened by his country that he didn’t consider himself a part of it.

I believe that the Gates tapes should be released. Don’t you?

I am sure that there are many who see POTUS for what he and Mr. Gates are.

BTW, does Mr. Gates consider the IRS a “white” institution now that he has to give them $11,000??

The e-mail spotlighted a $10,000 grant made to Joanne Kendall, the foundation’s treasurer, pointing out that she is also Gates’ assistant at Harvard. Gates, a member of ProPublica’s board of directors, said Monday that the award to Kendall was actually payment for doing administrative work for Inkwell and not, as Inkwell’s IRS 990 form states, a research grant.

Gates volunteered that the foundation’s second-largest grant, for $6,000, went to his fiancée, Angela DeLeon, who was also on Inkwell’s board from 2005 to 2006. Gates said he recused himself from the vote on DeLeon’s grant, which was for a project translating documents from Spanish and Dutch about the slave trade to Mexico.

Perhaps Mr. Gates and his lovely daughter Elizabeth should take note.  SNARK.

Falsely accused according to his daughter, the cop should have apologized.  WTF?  Is his daughter delusional.  We all want to believe that the people we love and know would NEVER behave in a manner unbecoming to them.

Well, the police report was an act of pure fiction.

Looks to me like Gates’ daughter is just as much of an arrogant racist, bigot.  What a legacy Mr. Gates, another stupid ass arrogant, entitled victim.

Both Mr. Gates and his daughter would do well knowing that their police were doing their job.  Unfortunately, some people do not have vigilant advocates for them.

Recouping in Martha’s Vineyard, Gates is considering devoting his next documentary to racial profiling. He says if Officer Crowley apologizes, he will do him the favor both of accepting it and educating “him about the history of racism in America.” Since Harvard students pay $33,000 a year for the privilege of getting lectured by Henry Louis Gates, perhaps he sees this as a generous offer rather than another stupendously arrogant gesture.

This arrogant sob wants to lecture a cop on racism.  The racism that he conveniently has forced to the forefront of today’s msm.  Mr. Gates gets absolutely no help from the black officer who witness the event.

President Obama stopped short of an apology to Sgt. James Crowley on Friday for saying he “acted stupidly” for arresting black Harvard scholar Henry Lewis Gates Jr., but said he should have chosen his words more carefully.

At an impromptu appearance at the daily White House briefing, Obama said he spoke with Crowley over the phone, and said he wanted to share a beer with Crowley and Gates at the White House.

“Because this has been ratcheting up and I helped contribute to ratcheting it up, I want to make clear that in my choice of words I unfortunately gave an impression that I was maligning the Cambridge Police Department or Sgt. Crowley specifically and I could have calibrated those words differently.

“My sense is you’ve got two good people in a circumstance in which neither of them were able to resolve it the way the wanted to resolve it,” President Obama said.
