Police were called to the house to investigate a possible break-in. Gates produced identification but was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after protesting the police conduct.

“Now I don’t know, not having been there, what role race played in that,” the president said.

Geez, POTUS went to law school.  He knows better than commenting on something that he did not witness.    I thought we were through campaigning.

But he added that blacks and Latinos often are stopped by authorities in disproportionate numbers.

I thought this was supposed to be about healthcare reform?  Just another distraction by POTUS.

Red Flag to crisscross skies above Nellis

Look for the Israeli air force over the skies of southern Nevada as Israel F-16C Fighting Falcons join their American counterparts for the latest Red Flag exercise at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.

Altogether, 62 planes are expected to fly during the 11-days of mock combat, which started Monday. About 50 aircraft will depart Nellis twice a day to practice air war scenarios involving large groups of aircraft that aircrews don’t often see when flying missions from their home bases.
