Iran test-fires short-range missiles
Iran said it successfully test-fired short-range missiles during military drills Sunday by the elite Revolutionary Guard, a show of force days after the U.S. warned Tehran over a newly revealed underground nuclear facility it was secretly constructing.
“We are going to respond to any military action in a crushing manner and it doesn’t make any difference which country or regime has launched the aggression,” state media quoted Salami as saying. He said the missiles successfully hit their targets.
The powerful Revolutionary Guard defends Iran’s clerical rulers. It has its own ground, naval and air units and its air force controls the country’s missile program.
What now POTUS? Gates will not deny that there are more nuclear sites in Iran.

I think the firing of these missiles is way overblown. Many countries conduct test firings and have war games. I look at this as nothing more than a coincidence. I may be wrong.

I would have said the same thing until I read this.

Israel does it’s share of saber rattling too. The article you quote spins the Iranian tests as if they occurred to coincide with Yom Kippur when in reality they occurred much sooner. NOT saying that I support Iran’s efforts, only that there is enough hypocrisy to go around. Israel builds settlements in the West Bank provoking Muslims. At his point in time if Iran were attacked by Israel the other Muslim countries would likely come to its defense, even though they hate Iran.
Now Israel wants the US to intervene with Iran. Israel has nukes. Why do WE need to intervene? I thought THEY were OUR ally.

This is the victim card being played out. realize that there is a lot of noise and saber rattling on each side. It only takes one idiot to change the world regardless of where he comes from.

Why do we need to intervene? Because they are our ally and we are a superpower. We don’t leave our allies to fend for themselves against rouge regimes. (Especially dictators who deny the Holocaust and wants to wipe Israel off the map) We have to show unity and thus provide more strength for Israel and most importantly, maintain stability in the region.

When the winds shift, I will stand by the Muslim.
He has left us impotent. Imust, I worry that our standing side by side Israel will be seen as a farce. The despots of the world are happily clapping.

There was a time, most of my life, where I supported Israel implicitly. Not anymore. Just like Iran, Israel has undeclared and uninspected nuclear and thermonuclear bomb making facilities (Dimona); they also have undeclared biological and chemical weapons programs. This is every bit as much in violation of the UN and all international laws as Iran. As for the Iran-Israel situation, we should protect whichever one is attacked.

Here are our saintly allies teargassing a woman newscaster for showing them sneaking across their wall to better fire tear gas at nonviolent Palestinian protesters of said wall.

Unfortunately, I don’t believe that we have a say in anything anymore. We get to watch whatever is presented to us and that is it.

we can only try to keep from providing them with the money to keep doing these things.
they of course will pass laws to steal more of our money and assets a la No Insurance Company Left Behind.
Time for global civil disobedience.

That is good news, but what about the others. There are more.
