The President Speaks to Our Children: Information or Indoctrination? : Smart Girl Nation.
For those who do not follow politics on a daily basis like I do, it is hard to see why there would be a concern for the President to encourage children to take responsibility, work hard, and stay in school. Were this all that had occurred, I would have agreed with them. However, what many on my Facebook page were not aware of was the lesson plan that was sent out by the Department of Education a few days before the President’s speech was made public. In the lesson plan for teachers were instructions on how to have children write about supporting or helping the President. We will never know what the President’s speech actually contained prior to the outrage over the speech began. Was the original speech truly a message to students about working hard and personal responsibility?
A copy of the quiz is provided below. Some of these students were educated on the health care debate going on in the country, while others simply took the information as fact and filled out their quiz. For those students, President Obama’s speech was their education. Is that not considered indoctrination?
We must not forget music lessons either.

The lengths to which this administration is willing to go to make everyone drink the Kool-Aid is astounding. This is nothing less than a focus group, marketing research program.
Hey Obama, leave our kids alone.

Talk about one sided. Question #5 doesn’t delve into the bill and discuss the particular part or parts that concern people, just wants to know how Obama “responded”, automatically assuming the people questioning him were wrong.

Imust, I taught for many years and this is not a quiz about thinking through an answer.

Is he planning on lowering the voting age to 7 years old?
His whole campaign was a fairy tale that wouldn’t even fool a child. Sounds like he’s figured out that Magic Time has come to an end even among his most ardent supporters.

It is sickening Anthony. I can’t believe what utter bull this administration is perpetuating.

I’m fairly certain that is already the mean intelligence age of Obots.

Betty, it makes you never want to vote Democrat again.
And just remember the 8-years of Bush that could have been very different if we didn’t have all these surrender weinee Democrats going along with all the corruption all those years!
But look at some of the loony Republicans that have been in.
