The US went directly from a superpower to third world status in one fell swoop, while skipping step two. The only thing holding it together, albeit precariously, is propaganda. You can easily see this in the way in which countries like Iran, Israel, and Venezuela are easily finding ways to pick at the flesh left on the bones.

Venezuela: Mining uranium deposits with the Russians, and Russia has already established a naval presence in Venezuela.
Iran: War games under way now. Lots of posturing going on, i.e., getting ready for the PR game that precedes these conflicts. (HINT: The Iranians are good at this stuff.)
Afghanistan: Taliban and al Qaeda battling US forces with the assistance of Pakistan, while we give Pakistan foreign aid. Pakistan is supplying Iran with nuclear technology.
Israel: Telling the US to pull the trigger now, which of course will immediately start the next M.E. war.
China: Quietly sitting on the sidelines with Obama in their pocket – or rather his in theirs. They hold the wild card in all of this. The dollar could collapse overnight if China wants it to happen. This will likely be the spark that ignites the fire. Keep your eye on gold prices this week as the dollar continues to slide.
