Yes, those deadly minor details were overlooked.
Liar, liar, uniform on fire: A dirty big secret in our Army has been that officers’ promotion boards have quotas for minorities. We don’t call them quotas, of course. But if a board doesn’t hit the floor numbers, its results are held up until the list has been corrected. It’s almost impossible for the Army’s politically correct promotion system to pass over a Muslim physician.
What else would have given him a pass? His research.
He lived in squalor for being an officer, will we find large donations to mosques linked to terrorist organizations?
As for that speech given by POTUS…yawn. Another pass.
The Taliban warns. How many more dots will NOT be connected?
There’s a failure to connect dots, and then there’s willful blindness. This appears to be the latter. Something is very, very wrong with our present counterterrorism effort if contacts between a military officer and a known radical imam in Yemen gets shrugged off like this, especially with a figure likely part of the 9/11 attacks.
So much for PC.

Of course we’ll find that most of his $100,000 salary went to some terror group somewhere. And nothing will change. The libs have ingrained themselves into every bureaucracy in the country, including the military, and I’m not sure there’s much we can do about it.
Like the blog, by the way. Keep up the good work!

Welcome Don, I think we can vote out every far, extremist beginning in 2010. Same goes for those Republicans. Most if not all of these lawmakers have forgotten that we are their bosses, and not the other way around.

Is it possible Hasan gets a promotion out of this?

Maybe.

Betty, I’d still like someone to explain how he got the promotion to Major, especially if he had a bad OER. I’ve been on NCO promotion boards. They were tough enough; officer boards were even more stringent. Yes, the Army wanted to promote minorities and women, but they had to be fully qualified first, not just a warm body. So, unless the promotion system has been very corrupted, somebody’s not telling the truth here. I wonder even more how this guy got a security clearance because the FBI and military both handle part of the investigation prior to awarding someone a security clearance.

You bring up fabulous questions wac. My goodness, the sunlight is sending the roaches running now that the blame game has begun.
