Around 2.30PM on Saturday, December 19, during a historic snowstorm, residents at the intersection of 14th and U Streets NW started throwing snowballs at passing Hummers.
One of the cars pelted was driven by a plainclothes police officer identified only as Det. Baylor. Baylor got out of his car and brandished his gun at the crowd.
Reason.tv’s Dan Hayes was on the scene, capturing the tense confrontation between police and citizens who chanted “Don’t bring a gun to a snowball fight!”
Approximately 5 minutes; harsh language throughout.

I hope that asshat loses his badge. The longer I watched that video, the more pissed off I got. Another example of police forgetting what their jobs are. I have the feeling the one cop who was instructing them on how to file a complaint was pissed off at the detective, too.

What are we going to do with the idiots of the world Nunly. It was completely uncalled for.

I said this at the Sibyl and took a raft of sh#t: cops are out of control. Stand up for your freaking rights, people.

Not all cops are bad Nom, but you already knew that. The job desensitizes you to just about everything that a normal person would clearly draw the line at. The balance is what makes you or kills you.
December 21, 2009 at 2:04 am
jmo they have a culture in which they can do no wrong and “civilians” (as though cops are in an army) are all perpetrators.
the line between cops and military gets more blurred every day with their fancy new weaponry and joint “missions” with actual military forces here on US soil.
speaking of the military: here’s their latest up and coming weapon, the lightning gun. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/08/26/ionatron_still_going/ military’s lightning gun almost ready
one day they’ll be using it on us in our gulag

Where have we reached? Nowhere.
In the end you’ll live in a concrete box.
And god’ll sing you your last lullaby
Because the white dove died choking
with the olive branch in her throat
“who is that drunk man stumbling there?
It’s the prime minister..”
Mother awaits at home for her son to return
he never will

Very appropriate.

The police said they were going to look into it….
The police, i.e., the fox guarding the hen house – or better yet – the fox owns the hen house and is charging rent….
And where are the politicians and the religious “leaders”…? Citizens being roughed up by the police without any recourse…? “Nowhere” And one wonders why no one has any faith in these venerable institutions.
Well, wonder no more… Hence the video. Thanks for allowing me to continue posting. So far TDN is still in the ICU….

New World Order? Always welcomed NNIC. Hope TDN will be up and running soon.

Why is everything now “historic”.
We lived in the D.C. area when I was a kid and in 78 we got over 2 feet of snow overnight. How is this more historic than that.

Because it is the era of Obama.
