Why let a holiday season come between the White House and making some political statements? The White House pegged controversial designer Simon Doonan to oversee the Christmas decorations for the White House. Mr. Doonan, who is creative director of Barney’s New York has often caused a stir with his design choices. Like his naughty yuletide window display of Margaret Thatcher as a dowdy dominatrix and Dan Quayle as a ventriloquist’s dummy. For this year’s White House, he didn’t disappoint.
These photos of ornaments on the White House Christmas tree in the Blue Room were taken just days ago. Of course, Mao has his place in the White House.

The Obama’s are the quintessential balloon boy story of Washington – it never goes away, it always becomes more unnerving, it is a giant distraction from what is really going on, and the media can’t seem to get enough of it…
And now this. Their Christmas tree ornaments. What’s next? A report about the Michelle Obama’s former chief of staff, Jackie Norris being barred from investigations about firings to cover up payola schemes going on in the WH…? Huh? What did I just say…? – Oh, but no. That story won’t ever see the light of day. Instead, it’s their Christmas tree…
Given the fact that the government is out of control and the military industrial complex is doing whatever it wants on auto pilot right now, the Obama’s erratic behavior is now the perfect cover for a country that is being run in board rooms, back rooms, and war rooms… The media is loving every minute of this mess because the more they keep everyone distracted, the more their best buds can get away with on Wall Street and beyond….
