Northwest Flight 253: al Qaeda Leaders Behind Terror Plot Were Released by U.S.

American officials agreed to send the two terrorists from Guantanamo to Saudi Arabia where they entered into an “art therapy rehabilitation program” and were set free, according to U.S. and Saudi officials.

Art therapy? Additionally, Dodd cut security funding this past July.

so they’ve become community organizers? SA was supposedly the most successful rehab program evah. so much muy humane than the one in Yemen. it was on a CNN special too. they give them finger painting therapy, psych counseling by a kindly Imam, free set of wheels, prayer rug & a couple wives. something went wrong! they’d rather send young black men to blow their balls off for Allah. if they want to leave the nice sunny weather, air conditioning, clean air water food at Gitmo why not just cut the barb wire & let them run across the mine field to los hermanos? if they make it, Raul will put them up in one of his nice prisons, which isn’t much better than how the rest of his captive ppls live.
another option is just abandon the island & let the Navy use the “guests” as target practice if they try to escape. every USN ship does training down there. I rather enjoyed watching the guns go off from the fantail. koool! give the jihadis rubber rafts to make it more challenging.
btw, Gitmo prisons are alot more comfy than 98+ degrees in the engine room of a Navy ship or getting only a few hrs sleep on a 2 foot wide metal rack with a piece of fucking foam for mattress. the food tastes like sh**t too, & the water like fuel oil. there’s also no yard to play in. wth do these bleeding heart pansy Obots think the military puts up with?

  after 6 weeks of combat engineering drills in a floating tin can off the coast, that prison would be viewed as a 5 star vacation retreat by any sailor. a few of my old USN buddies were laughing about it at Thanksgiving dinner. we didn’t have email or DVD’s to entertain us in those days. Survivor reality shows are a joke compared to what sailors put up with. the propaganda machine has to make it look glamorous to keep recruitment up. the hardship makes you appreciate what poor immigrants & refugees went through…indentured slaves, etc. lol. A taste of it certainly wouldn’t hurt the CIC or his devotees.

  Why that is a fabulous idea padre! There is nothing better to strengthen the soul than some serious labor. I would like to see them tarring and roofing homes for the elderly in Phoenix’s 110+ heat. Perhaps some asphalt work on the interstates. We have many fine activities that don’t require internet, gyms, etc.

  CBS News has learned that as early as August of 2009 the Central Intelligence Agency was picking up information on a person of interest dubbed “The Nigerian,” suspected of meeting with “terrorist elements” in Yemen.
  
  Sources tell CBS News “The Nigerian” has now turned out to be Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab. But that connection was not made when Abudulmutallab’s father went to the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria three months later, on November 19, 2009. It was then he expressed deep concerns to a CIA officer about his son’s ties to extremists in Yemen, a hotbed of al Qaeda activity.
  
  In fact, CBS News has learned this information was not connected until after the attempted Christmas Day bombing…
  
  “We learned of him in November, when his father came to the U.S. embassy in Nigeria and sought help in finding him. We did not have his name before then,” said Paul Gimigliano, a CIA spokesman. “Also in November, we worked with the embassy to ensure he was in the government’s terrorist database – including mention of his possible extremist connections in Yemen. We also forwarded key biographical information about him to the National Counterterrorism Center. This agency, like others in our government, is reviewing all data to which it had access – not just what we ourselves may have collected – to determine if more could have been done to stop Abdulmutallab.”
