What a total loser. His wife was dying, his mistress was needy, he was warned but he needed to blame someone who was 27 years old for his miserable failings.
“No,” Edwards said. “Why didn’t you come to me like a fucking man and tell me to stop fucking her?”

You said it all….”what a total loser”

It makes me think very long and hard about the type of person we are marketed as “wholesome” in politics. He cannot be the only one.

Unreal. I always said that Elizabeth was the bulldog in the family. She was the one that tore Hillary apart. I came to see her for what she really is.

Really ugly, isn’t it? Dirty and ugly.

Wow–I read that whole thing and it really put into perspective the observations by my daughter who was assigned to cover Edwards and Dodd for the newspaper she works for during the NH primaries. She interviewed Elizabeth Edwards (not privately, she was just one of a very large group of reporters).
My daughter, who was planning on voting for Edwards in NH, said that she was shocked by how horrible Elizabeth looked (physically) and her demeanor..she was very irritable and just plain nasty. Not the Elizabeth Edwards that she expected, the persona of the calm and sweet lady she saw on TV interviews earlier. She just about snapped my daughters head off when she asked a question about John’s views on education.
My daughter just chalked it up to Elizabeth fight the exhaustion of campaigning while undergoing cancer treatments. She, of course, had no idea what Elizabeth was going through with John and his mistress.
That said…John is such an asswipe! He had me fooled, I supported him early on. It wasn’t until I saw him in the second debate that I decided to back Hillary instead because she was so much smarter than all of them…especially when it came to foreign policy and economics. John just kept repeating his old tired stump speech about two America’s.

It was am eye opener to me as well. I never supported him because I had read physician threads that had him pegged to a tee. He made his $$$ by going after physicians. Some were really bad and many were victimized by this money grubbing Ken doll.
Elizabeth should have kicked him to the curb, but I suppose being married to a politician all those years must have left her desensitized. I don’t have much respect for Elizabeth. She worked to push this pig on America. That tells me that she is no different than that manzilla that sits in the WH today. Is there no pride in doing what is right?
I always thought Bill couldn’t keep it in his pants, but JE takes the cake. I always admired HRC for making him pack the junk away.
Quite revealing when you think about it, telling a 27 yr old that he should have prevented him from continuing with this stupidity is beyond comprehension.

I agree 100%. I lost all respect for Elizabeth when I knew that she was continuing to support John after she already knew what he did.
If I were Elizabeth, I would have divorced him before he even ran, and then made sure I ruined him financially and politically. Why should his girlfriend reap the rewards after her death? You know that John is going to run to his girlfriend before the ground settles on Elizabeth’s grave.
I should have done my homework on John before I supported him in the beginning. His true colors did start to show early on, though. Just watching him at those debates was a real eye-opener.

That article was quite something. The part I found most interesting was when JE was scrambling to stay relevant after Iowa. He was trying to ingratiate himself with Barry so he could be his running mate. I thought back to those debates when JE “teamed up” with Barry against Hillary and when he insisted right after Iowa that he and Obama were the only ones left standing and Hillary should just take a hike b/c they came in 1st and 2nd…..seems to me JE was only a fraction of a point above Hillary in the Iowa result but JE was very adamant that Hillary should just quit, as if it had been a major blow out.

I am amazed at the amount of self importance that these people regard themselves with. It is no wonder Obama is such an arrogant creep. He is not as smooth as JE, but just as creepy. So is his wife. I never surrounded myself with ugly humans like these, and it seems that politics attracts them by the zillions. What a sewer.
