Whether it’s babies or the middle-aged, they are tagging people for these operations right and left. Because so many Haitians don’t have medical records, a doctor we followed, Dr. Julie Manley from Raleigh, N.C., was walking around with a pad of paper and writing down what patients needed and taping it to their chest.
Many non-governmental organizations, including Doctors without Borders, have said they’re 24 hours from running out of supplies. The private hospital Sacré Coeur said they’re holding on by the skin of their teeth.

Thanks for your thoughts geared towards the Haiti situation. I have made my donations and hope many can follow. Many of us are heartstruck.

Thoughts are easy, and so is money. Change is difficult. Haiti must overcome the corruption that has plagued it for years.

Well, folks I was strapped for cash this month. Our own future is uncertain w/this congress & Obama at the wheel. Economy is bad & folks losing jobs & Veterans & Social Security did NOT get COLA.. & Medicare (which is NOT a free program) has already been cut. But I did cut loose w/total of $25 for Scott Brown. Sorry … but I was more concern w/our own freedoms on the ropes. I put US 1st & foremost.
Im just being Pro American on this matter.

Gosh arlenearmy, that was really wonderful. I have always found the most giving people to be those who have less at the moment. I live in an area that has not climbed out of double digit unemployment in decades. I work two jobs and I feel blessed to have that.
I understand what you are saying. I do feel that the Haitian people will overcome all of this. I have a great amount of faith that this will help them. It brought them back to the forefront. They are not forgotten.
