Dad Sells Girl, Calls Cops to Complain He Wasn’t Paid.
A 36-year-old California man was arrested and booked in the Monterey County jail after allegedly selling his daughter for marriage and then calling police to complain that her buyer had not paid off his debt.
Greenfield, Calif., police said Marcelino de Jesus Martinez, 36, tried to arrange for his 14-year-old daughter to marry Margarito de Jesus Galindo, 18, for $16,000 and 100 cases of beer, along with several cases of meat and other items.

This, I am afraid, is just another example of the “culture of death”…human beings are reduced to “chattel”…if they are not deemed “worthy” to exist, they are exterminated. Maybe a stretch, for some. But to “sell” a daughter is just despicable and only an indicator of the absolute depravity we have allowed our society to be reduced to (bad English, sorry!).

Unfortunately arranged marriages aren’t that unusual. I know someone that was a victim, and although she finally escaped the creep, they have a daughter. She’s connected to him for life now.

This was an act of desperation. Very little real thought went into reporting this, which I’m sure is a letdown to these poor misanthropes of American pop culture. Whereas, juxtapose this to the John Edwards story of his love child with “videographer”, er, sex partner, Rielle Hunter, Tiger Woods and his obscene ventures into the world of hookers (and resulting weird semi-nude photo in this months Vanity Fair), the octumom, the pregnant “man”, and so on and so forth…. Plenty of attention there for those desperate for attention….
Bless your heart for posting a story like this. The difference between being crazy and being eccentric is money, and these poor people are just plain shit out of luck on this one I’m afraid…
But not to worry, there’s always HEALTH CARE – yes, health care. That’s what is going to make everything better – or so you would think from listening to that garbage all day long…

Interesting, the policeman in the video embedded in the link said, that although we understand and appreciate other culture’s customs and laws, we abide them when we are in THEIR country. When they are in OUR country, they need to respect and abide by our laws and customs. I agree with him, but was surprised that he actually said it on camera! The article simply says that we respect other cultures but California law states it doesn’t apply when one or both parties involved are coerced. The girl went willingly, because that is how she was raised, but our culture calls that human trafficking and it is against the law. I’ll be curious to see if the PC police on the left come out and condemn the real police for “acting stupidly” and/or he mounts a defense based on “his culture”.

The “old” country stuff needs to stay in the old country. I know that the PC crowd is going to yell boohoo, but if this is what he wanted, he should not have come to the US. As for the girl, it is hopeless unless she can get out from under that mentality. It is so difficult to walk away from your family. That is what will be necessary. Chances are that she will cycle through another man like her father.
