The MSM’s little darling, CNN says it was only a dozen or so…
March 28, 2010 at 9:54 am
They are so full of crap. I despise CNN. Can’t wait until they completely tank.
March 28, 2010 at 12:26 pm
it doesn’t matter their ratings: they are funded regardless how much they lose.
CNN owned by Time Warner
FOX owned by News Corporation (has Alwaleed bin Talal who is linked to BHO’s tuition payments as a major shareholder)
MSNBC & NBC owned by GE
CBS owned by Viacom
ABC owned by Disney
the msm provides the cover of the false reality being pimped, it is going nowhere.
March 28, 2010 at 12:37 pm
The bottom line, Nom, is that the MSM is dead as a doornail. The only people who honestly pay attention to it are those who have been seduced by its carefully crafted propaganda.
As you pointed out, the game is rigged. Even if no one believed the junk on the MSM, something tells me they would continue pumping it out anyway. Remember, they are in cahoots with the government and the military-industrial complex. Without their distractions, the truth would come out.
Then what…?
Well, that’s happening right now. Slowly but surely it’s happening.
March 28, 2010 at 5:00 pm
unfortunately, something like 5% of the US follows politics online. The rest get what they do hear from the msm.
March 28, 2010 at 6:05 pm
It is more than unfortunate Anonymous. Sad to be honest.
March 29, 2010 at 9:38 am
Dozens of people attended. Just like CNN has dozens of viewers.
Rim shot. I’ll be here all week.
March 29, 2010 at 9:52 am
Ahh perspective it is RPL. ROFL
March 28, 2010 at 9:40 am
CNN surely knows there are a hell of a lot more than a dozen racists in Nevada.
March 28, 2010 at 10:01 am
noh8 there is ugly everywhere. I have met many Tea Party protesters. Guess what, most
arewere registered Dems who are now Independents. I resent the hell out of CNN spinning their idiocy and lack of journalistic abilities spreading more disgust. You can’t tell me that there are no racists in the Democratic party…can we say Al Sharpton? Do you remember Tawana Brawley? Seriously, take a good look at the history of some of POTUS’s BFs. FYI, I was a registered Dem until this POTUS began his race baiting election.March 28, 2010 at 10:26 am
How about Ms “The base can stay home we don’t need you (white folks) anymore” Brazile? How about the ex? pastor for 20 years Wright? How about Flotus and for that matter Potus himself?
Racists every single one- but it doesn’t count cuz they only hate white people?
March 28, 2010 at 10:31 am
So very true PMM.
March 28, 2010 at 5:06 pm
Don’t forget Clyburn No. 1 racist…
Can you see me right in the middle of that crowd in Searchlight? Ha ha, I wish…couldn’t go because I had to work! I am glad there was such a great turnout!!! One thing I would like the Tea Party to put out is a waiver that says they do not condone unseemly behavior and put all this b.s. to rest once and for all.
People are angry at the pols and they should be glad things have not been worse.
“Say What You Will..It Feels So Good”
March 28, 2010 at 11:07 am
take a hike you freaking idiot, no one needs to be racist to dislike BHO. I listened to enough of people like you’s stupid sh#t in the primaries to ever put up with listening to it again.
March 28, 2010 at 11:22 am
Nom, aren’t you as sick of this sh#t as I am? Every moment in time is now labeled racist. Quite frankly, the word is meaningless now.
March 28, 2010 at 11:42 am
if the BHO backers had really thought their opponents were racist, the charge of racism would never have been used. Why would a racist mind being called a racist? Racists think they are superior.
it was used to alienate poorer whites from blacks so they would not regard them as potential allies.
March 28, 2010 at 11:45 am
Divide and conquer…absolutely right Nom.
March 30, 2010 at 2:05 pm
Definition of Racist (2010): A racist is a person who harbors hatred or ill will toward the campaign process, the two party system, and political races.
I think that describes most of America now. I know it describes me.
March 30, 2010 at 2:32 pm
I’m with you Mockazine. The term racist really doesn’t mean much anymore.
March 28, 2010 at 9:41 am
[...] the word ‘Obamacare’ as if this were some new term that was just now coined. Go to McNorman for the real low-down on the showdown in Searchlight – and of course this comes courtesy of [...]
March 28, 2010 at 10:05 am
who cares if they used to be dems or repubs? they are a bunch of freaking morons believing that a party invented by neocons will do anything other than serve neocons.
March 28, 2010 at 10:08 am
No Nom, I will gladly protest taxes at a tea party. I have never believed that taxation without representation is right. I don’t consider myself a moron. I am not a card carrying Tea Party member, but I will never sit down and shut up.
March 28, 2010 at 10:59 am
I did not suggest that you or anyone should. I am also against taxation without representation. but the teapartiers are morons. their movement is led by neocons and it is for neocons and anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.
March 28, 2010 at 11:12 am
We are not all morons. I will continue to support the people, like myself who voice their concerns via this movement or any other movement that refutes what this administration is doing. Have you ever been to one of these rallies Nom? Have you ever spoken to the people who are standing there? We have been told that we have no place where we belong. We are not isolated. Believe what you want, but you are very wrong about the majority of people who attend these functions. Every time that I have ever been to one of these functions, people speak amongst themselves. They aren’t there for a leader to take them to some promised land. We want to know that we are not crazy. We want to know that we are not the last to say that what is happening to the Constitution is wrong. Until you are actually amongst them, I suggest that you hold back
calling any oflabeling all of us morons. The groups that have rallied here are elderly people. They are not Republicans or Democrats. We have a horrible congressman. Nancy’s lapdog to be precise. This man went to the media to say that everyone was very satisfied with what DC is doing. He wouldn’t take our calls, he wouldn’t meet with any of us, and to top it off he had security continuously toss out people who questioned his motives. For the most part, these are people who have limited access to the internet. They no longer believe the MSM. They want to speak to others and listen to what we can do to stem this tide. We want creeps like this congressman out, but sitting in the midst of ACORN land makes us wonder if we are the last on the planet. We aren’t delusional about what is happening and we are not happy with either party.March 28, 2010 at 11:13 am
I read that the definition of neocon is a liberal who got hit with a dose of reality.
March 28, 2010 at 11:18 am
Funny. I don’t care much for the people who are trying to represent this group. Many are the part of the problem and not the solution.
March 28, 2010 at 2:39 pm
Palin is the best out there??? lol
March 28, 2010 at 2:43 pm
SP talks outloud. Unlike Joe, she says what most of us think. She is going to be fine on the radio or teevee.
March 28, 2010 at 11:48 am
Nom is not a neocon. She has a healthy respect for reality.
March 28, 2010 at 11:35 am
you are missing my point: a fish rots from the head down: the head of the teaparty movement is rotten.
I am for the majority of positions taken by the teaparties: but I am not for a party run by neocons. all you are going to get is more neocons.
March 28, 2010 at 11:45 am
I understand what you are saying Nom. I just want you to understand that not all of us are rotted out. What I find under reported is the fact that many who attend these functions leave with the anxiety of knowing that they can’t really trust anyone who wants to lead this group. Atleast that is the case here in town.
March 28, 2010 at 11:56 am
then you should not attend their rallies. how do you suppose an oligarch determines whom to fund? one surmises it is the appearance of their usefulness.
March 28, 2010 at 2:35 pm
To go to the rallies is not for the oligarchs, it is for our sanity.
March 28, 2010 at 11:45 am
evergreen 78, I understand reality quite well. I am not a neocon.
anyone who votes for these neocon backed tea party candidates will learn the hard way that they are just more of the same: corporatist, militarist tools, exactly like BHO and Bush because they are owned by the same oligarchs.
March 30, 2010 at 9:13 pm
I didn’t say you were a neocon. I’m not even totally sure what one is, which is why I shared that definition that I read somewhere — I don’t even remember where.
I’m a fiscal conservative, period. I am a capitalist pig (& damn proud of it), & I don’t think we spend ENOUGH on defense. Where the “liberal” part of that neocon definition comes in (according to wikipedia) is that they don’t really mind a welfare state (which I definitely have a problem with), but are military hawks. As Dennis Miller says, “I don’t mind helping the helpless, but I’m tired of helping the clueless.”
The Tea Parties are not a “party,” as in “Republican Party” or “Democrat Party.” There is no “head,” despite the MSM propaganda to the contrary. That’s the whole point.
March 31, 2010 at 6:31 am
Evergreen78 no one can define the Tea Party with any clarity which is fine by me. Is it a party, is it a movement? I think this is good. I am sick of the vile and nasty labels that the MSM has pinned on the Tea Party folks.
Capitalist pig? I don’t think so…sounds more like you are living in reality when it comes to money.
March 31, 2010 at 9:55 am
Your comment implies liberals lack an understanding of reality that neocons possess.
My comment indicated I think that is asinine for I am a liberal who understands reality very well: I did not think you had called me a neocon.
However, being socially liberal does not mean I am not also a financial conservative. One of my biggest problems with the neocons is that they are not.
The US military is already over 40 times more expensive than its nearest rival (China), is greater than the next 15 countries’ budgets combined, and accounts for over half of the US budget to the detriment of necessary infrastructure, jobs, and nonmilitary research.
http://www.warresisters.org/pages/piechart.htm
It most assuredly does not require increasing.
March 31, 2010 at 10:15 am
Oh yes Nom, Bam needs a bigger and stronger Army than China. Well, the industrial military complex needs a bigger army with better stuff.
March 28, 2010 at 10:30 am
We have actually had a few tea party meetings out here in NW PA– and sorry Nom- My friends are not morons- and they have no more use for the Repubs than they have for the Dems.
What my friends DO want is a government that takes care of ONLY what the government is allowed in the Constitution.
My friends believe in hard work and being allowed to keep the fruits of their labor. They believe in charity that is not compelled or controlled by the State. They want less taxes. I don’t think that makes them morons.
Hey they were smart enough to vote AGAINST Obama (and I phrased it that way on purpose- our county went overwhelmingly for Hillary and then hated Obama so much they went by almost the same margin for McCain.)
March 28, 2010 at 10:37 am
The MSM really wants to corral every individual that isn’t behind a Democratic fence as anything but American. In fact, the Democratic Party has turned into the most unAmerican party evah. They stand for trampling on the Constitution. There are no differences when it comes to corruption and lies.
March 28, 2010 at 10:38 am
Let me clarify before we get accused of being a county full of racists- the end of any chance Obama had was when the Wright business came out and the icing on the cake was his bitter hicks comments.
Of course myself and many others made sure we were educating folks about all his OTHER anti-American friends. Out here in the sticks we recognize the snake oil salesmen right away! And we run them out of town!
March 28, 2010 at 10:43 am
Yes, the “bitter hicks” generally have a good sense of what is real and what is bs. Us gun toting bitter clingers will join you anytime. We drive trucks. We have to. This is the wild west. I guess we’re in that “racist” classification here.
March 28, 2010 at 10:51 am
LOL- we have lots of hills to hide in around here though- not too much cover under the cactus!
Us bitter hicks are just too tired after working our asses of all day to listen to any BS artists.
We love America- and anybody who doesn’t is welcome to depart the country forthwith! Quit trying to change us into some other thing. If they like English or French or Cuban or Italian or whatever healthcare, government, taxes, political philosophy- then go live THERE! Leave already and good riddance to bad rubbish!
March 28, 2010 at 10:56 am
I agree, be happy wherever the life and laws appeal to you. I don’t want to live the Third World dream. As a matter of fact, I would prefer not to taste it either.
March 28, 2010 at 5:08 pm
lol…I want a truck and a bigger gun!
“Say What You Will…It Feels So Good”
March 28, 2010 at 11:00 am
Yes, I want all those things too, but I do not go to neocons to get them. I did not vote for BHO either.
March 28, 2010 at 12:34 pm
Well I knew you didn’t vote for BHO- you make too much sense!
The problem we have is the two parties- Fascist/Socialist/Communist/Progressive- call them what you like- they are not the friends of the voters. Then the Neocons, religious right, Kooky conservatives, whatever you want to call THEM- also not our friends.
Who is for the people? It costs a small country to run for office- even to file papers is prohibitively expensive- never mind ads, and mailings, and traveling all over hither and yon.
The Tea partiers I have met here just want as mcn said to know we are not alone. That we are not the only ones who see how bad these politicians.
That said- we need to come up with a solution soon- rather than this swinging back and forth on this insane pendulum.
March 28, 2010 at 5:13 pm
I agree completely. The problem with the teaparties is that they will field only candidates run by the neocons–the backers of the neocons actually– the same corporate military media transnational etc scum.
They will be promoted as opposition candidates to the loser dems we have now, but they are in reality backed by the exact same people.
The Libertarians, the Constitution party, and the Independent party have also all been infiltrated. The Greens and the Socialists have not, but most people will not vote for anyone so far left and they do not have enough candidates in any event to make much of a dent.
We would do better to pick names at random from a phone book and run them than anyone we’ve ever heard of.
But as the overriding problem is one of oligarchs, their removal should be everyone’s first concern rather than voting. As we know, they can and will install whomsoever they wish regardless of our vote.
March 28, 2010 at 6:06 pm
Easier said than done.
March 28, 2010 at 6:27 pm
I do not even know it’s possible, but surely it is the logical next step.
March 30, 2010 at 6:33 am
Nom, the tea party is being portrayed as a party not a movement. I think that they are still very much a movement of voices.
March 30, 2010 at 8:50 am
that’s a valid point, but if they are to be effective then they need to be a party, a distinct party, with a distinct platform, and a means of slicing off anyone who doesn’t follow the platform.
they need to have their own freaking organization paid for by their own freaking people and support their own freaking candidates which would only be people they themselves had recruited.
they need to stop following and raising money for their freaking oppressors by attending these dumbsh#t neocon pep rallies and supporting
neocon-sponsored candidates.
that’s what’s most wrong with them: they get together and talk about how much they hate the freaking government but allow neocon government insiders to run their freaking movement so that it’s not a party and has no agenda distinct form that of the neocons: they’re nothing more than useless tools to the selfsame “government” they deride.
March 28, 2010 at 10:46 am
Look’s like more than a dozen to me @ the Spotlight Tea Party.CNN (Chicken Noodle News)suck’s Obama’s Toe’s!!! (YUK :p )
March 28, 2010 at 10:49 am
Just a few more than a dozen, right icetrout?
Love it.
March 28, 2010 at 10:54 am
Hey- CNN is using the new math again!
Love it! Chicken Noodle News! ROFL!
March 28, 2010 at 10:57 am
It’s that crap Chicago math.
March 28, 2010 at 10:59 am
When I was little & someone would call me an ugly name, my mother would say, “They’re just jealous.” I can’t tell you how many times I think about that these days. I hate to admit it, but being called a “teabagger” really hurts my feelings. I graduated in the top 10% of my class, & while I may not be Einstein, I certainly don’t consider myself a moron. My mind just cramps up when I read these mean, hateful, judgmental (not to mention uninformed) comments by people who then tell me how loving & tolerant & open-minded & patriotic THEY are. It just don’t make no sense, I tell you what.
March 28, 2010 at 11:15 am
There is an incredible amount of pressure to define this group evergreen78. Most of these people come from all walks of life. Many have been known as the “silent” majority in the past. They don’t make waves. They don’t know how to. They are searching for a way to shut down this road to hell.
March 29, 2010 at 1:30 pm
The Neo-Libs sure as hell got my attention. My Maryland is infested with them
March 29, 2010 at 1:47 pm
Sorry to hear that icetrout. Yes, unfortunately you are infested with them.
March 29, 2010 at 5:22 pm
We have the worst of the worst now that Drunk Teddy is dead./wonder if the thought police @ BAFTE & FBI will hold me responsible for MaryJo’s Killers death for wishing God would strike the dirty bastard dead??? lofl
March 29, 2010 at 6:50 pm
You have to admit that the Tedward dynasty has left an indelible mark.
March 28, 2010 at 2:00 pm
CNN would like to pretend tea party is some kind of cult. it scares the living crap out of them to believe 10,000 ppl can actually think for themselves & don’t subscribe to a particular male hero or party ideology.
alot of those same baby boomers at the rallies hated government controls in the 60′s. why would they feel any different now? Republicans really aren’t adept at activism. it doesn’t make logical sense that Tea Party is ALL neocons. of course CNN zombies reporters don’t think logically. CNN promos claim their “diversity”. they all look different, but think the same way. Any self-respecting adult left that show after Obama’s selection.
March 28, 2010 at 5:43 pm
FOX and CNN are bff. Their job is to rope in different types of viewers. But they are all backing the same candidate. This past election it was BHO; in the next it will be Palin.
“it doesn’t make logical sense that Tea Party is ALL neocons.”
Name me a significant tea party leader and I will name the corporation or faction or fundamentalist religious figure that runs him.
March 29, 2010 at 8:46 am
no matter who the supposed leaders are, many of TP participants meet up to be with like minded ppl.
ppl aren’t as dumb as you think, Nom.
March 29, 2010 at 9:33 am
“ppl aren’t as dumb as you think, Nom.”
how much do you want to bet?
they will vote as blindly for the candidates put up for them as purported opposition to the goons we have now as the bots did for BHO.
wait and see what you get from the 2010 elections in 2011 and then tell me I was wrong.
March 29, 2010 at 9:53 am
You can’t generalize Nom. Many are furious. That fury is enough to force some change.
March 29, 2010 at 10:15 am
change can’t come without an effective plan. people who cannot be bothered to create their own organization but instead let the neocons organize one for them are not going to come up with that plan.
March 29, 2010 at 9:55 am
I agree raging. What I learned at these rallies is that people share quite a bit of different information. Those that do not have internet, will network with those that do. No different from the people at the townhalls that were dissed. They also got together after the meetings.
March 28, 2010 at 2:37 pm
Racist, Nigger, White Trailer Trash,Redneck,Toad…Sticks & Stones will…I just love the way the Law has been turned against Americans.ACORN gets recorded breaking the Law & Obama gets a free pass protecting them. There’s a War with Mexico on our Border & the Dems ignore it & want make Citizens out of the invaders.A Commies in the White House with all his Little Commie Friends plotting against the United States & are offended when Citizens show anger???
March 30, 2010 at 6:34 am
Icetrout, names only apply to anyone who is not with this administration.
March 28, 2010 at 6:33 pm
Wonder what ACORN is morphing into now.We all know they will be out to steal the vote with a bunch of Illegals with Motor-Voter ID’S…
March 28, 2010 at 7:50 pm
They don’t need that population when they have the prison population. Don’t you remember, they had felons voting?
March 28, 2010 at 6:49 pm
mcnorman- do me a favor. I showed this to my Obot husband and he did what he always does…claimed that HE didn’t see anything that said CNN said there were only a dozen or so people and he wanted to know “When” they said it (I guess implying that their reporting was early on and that’s all the people that were really there.
Do you have anything I can show him that shows CNN under reporting the numbers at this rally so I can shove it in his face?
March 28, 2010 at 7:10 pm
Never mind…just found it on film, although he refused to watch it.
March 28, 2010 at 7:49 pm
Gee Nunly, the pictures were taken by Border Patrol. Unfortunately, my brother in law is also a bot so I empathize with you greatly sister.
March 29, 2010 at 3:52 am
God Damn a Buffalo the Obama Toe Suckers @ BAFTE are @ it again. If your a Christian Tea Party Member look out !!!
March 29, 2010 at 12:42 pm
I think I heard about this on Laura Ingraham this morning when I was out and about doing errands…lying by the MSM and the POTUS (et. al.) seems to be the modus operandi…
I’m praying hard for some kind of “reckoning” here; don’t know what, don’t know how…but people have to get informed and active to oppose this diabolical force.
March 29, 2010 at 12:52 pm
They were reporting that a few dozen people showed up to this rally. The Border Patrol took these picks of those few dozens.
March 29, 2010 at 1:21 pm
CNN did it again with the Michigan Christians, spinning that they were out to kill cops./Why dose CNN have to spin everything, their like the little boy who cried wolf.NO ONE BELIEVES THEM ANYMORE!!!
March 29, 2010 at 1:46 pm
Read the indictment. Atleast this way you know what they were going after. CNN is laughable. I wish they would do this to all the Muslim groups that CAIR protects.
March 29, 2010 at 1:26 pm
Neo-Liberals have the Whirling Disease.Just like trout their BACKBONES have been taken over by Parasites.(Spin,Spin,Spin…)
March 29, 2010 at 1:47 pm
lol
March 29, 2010 at 8:36 pm
Just read the Governments Indictment on the Michigan Christians ,just like WACO without the Tanks.BAFTE & FBI make it sound like the Christians had attacked a Police Station or Military Convoy. All the Christians did was to play solder & talk shit on their own property & be spied on & lied on by traitors!!!.Funny how it was timed to the TeaParty Weekend in Spotlite.Mexicans & Muslims invade us with the Governments blessing ,FBI&BAFTE they go out & mash Christians???This is more Govment BS
March 30, 2010 at 6:36 am
I would prefer that they go after CAIR.
