Looks like Arizona will not be alone.
Rep. Debbie Riddle of Tomball said she will push for the law in the January legislative session, according to Wednesday’s editions of the San Antonio Express-News and Houston Chronicle.
“The first priority for any elected official is to make sure that the safety and security of Texans is well-established,” said Riddle, who introduced a similar measure in 2009 that didn’t get out of committee. “If our federal government did their job, then Arizona wouldn’t have to take this action, and neither would Texas.”
via Rep Wants AZ Immigration Law in Texas. She is not alone in Texas. Will California be next? Why can’t we just enforce the law already written? Utah is heading this way and they don’t sit on the border.
Even the NYT got it right this time.

I hope you do not mind. I linked your post with the Mexican government immigrations laws to a post at NO Quarter. There was a troll there who needed an education.

I saw a report on BBC about this and looked it up.
How come no outrage over this treatment of people from other countries traveling through Mexico to illegally cross the US border?
Maybe if we enforced border security many would not make the trip.

I agree helenk. I reported a home once that I thought was a stash house. It was not. It was filled with humans that were being trafficked. The home is in easy proximity to the trains where they also move humans. It is deplorable, but you don’t hear much about it in the msm. There is no coverage in Mexico of this because as we know, Presidente Calderon says it doesn’t happen.

Thank you for the link. BTW, Mexico treats its own indigenous people with great disdain to the point of exterminating them. We don’t hear about them very much anymore. I try to read the Mexican newspapers everyday. I guess your question is forcing the Mexican government to answer to their abuse of migrants.
