A virtual class unto themselves…
It’s all about power and control in politics. That’s what gets me about how people could be so foolish as to believe that any politician wants to do something for them. It is diametrically opposed to the notion of gaining and holding power that others should benefit from it.
The only guiding principle mankind has are the rules that they themselves are willing to break in order to get what they want. When push comes to shove, history has proven that might makes right.
It’s sad, but it’s true. Although, it may not be the absolute best principle in which to live ones life. Myself, I believe in the redemption of the soul, and judgment comes not from our peers insomuch as it does from God above.
