Once it lodges, only a doctor can remove it — a procedure Ehlers hopes will be done with authorities on standby to make an arrest.
“It hurts, he cannot pee and walk when it’s on,” she said. “If he tries to remove it, it will clasp even tighter… however, it doesn’t break the skin, and there’s no danger of fluid exposure.”

It’s a novel idea, and while I relish the idea of a rapist getting what’s coming to them, I have a question.
Would this increase the chances of a women actually being shot or knifed if he had been threatening her with a weapon? You know what I mean, does this mean he’ll react by pulling the trigger or plunging the knife?
Not that it matters because as stated before it will never be sold in America, we’re too soft on the bad guys.

I think that the pain is so intense…a bear trap if you would, they would not be able to do much of anything else. It certainly would put a damper on the evening.

jmo, no; men either plan to kill or maim the woman in addition to rape or they don’t plan to do so.
the idea that violent predators “fly into a rage” is not consistent with data. violent offenders show a blood pressure drop upon deciding to commit acts of violence: they are more calm than usual.
they are not like ordinary people; it is not useful for one to compare a predator’s reactions to what one feels would have been one’s own reaction.
ask any woman you know who has lived with a violent man and she will you she knew in the morning by the evening she’d be attacked. violence by predators is a planned act.
