The seabed on most of the continental slopes is covered by methanhydrate. It’s stabilized by pressure and temperature. If one is compromised, methan can leak from it’s ice cage and rise toward the water surface. Runaway erosion of the sub floor. We have compromised the seabed floor.

So how did they resolve this mcnorman?
June 24, 2010 at 9:22 am
Is this a joke? Resolve it? Resolve what? Destroying the ocean? C’mon now…
June 24, 2010 at 9:38 am
Can you believe that it has been thirty years and we are still on page one?
June 24, 2010 at 9:55 am
It literally blows my mind. I … I … I’m speechless… and that’s hard for me to have to admit…
June 24, 2010 at 9:57 am
I had no idea that this had happened before either.
June 24, 2010 at 9:38 am
No resolution DE. We have never learned lessons that were in front of us and now we they will be magnified.

Every day- creepier and creepier.
I went to the library today- researching bankruptcy stuff- and found out the king of the universe soros wrote a book- I didn’t know that- I took it out on the “know thy enemy” theory.
June 24, 2010 at 11:27 am
Yes, know thy enemy is prudent with this gang.
June 24, 2010 at 12:14 pm
The worst of it is that Soros is just one among many:

“‘Reasonably high’ chance BP files for bankruptcy”
That was a given, sticking us with the bill. That $20 billion oilsoc extorted from BP will be ravaged by oilsoc and his hyenas in Congress long before it ever compensates any of the BP/bo victims.

I heard on radio news this morning that one person was made very ill whilst working on clean-up and aonther man committed suicide due to the loss of livelihood (and most likely loss of sense of worth and value as a human being) G-d d@mn BP and the rest of the terrorists of the earth. (I just finished the Naomi Klein article in the Guardian)

I wrote this before I read FF01′s blog. (obviously)

Wow! Great article…

After 9/11, many felt the same way leslie. I feel for that man who took his life. I foresee much more tragedy as the hopeless meter rises.

I hope DE didn’t think I was being ugly. It’s just that my gawd look at this what’s happening in the gulf. And there’s hardly any reporting on it for God’s sakes. Geez, I had to literally scrounge up that video this morning of the paving job on the Pensacola beach from RT. First, you have to dig past the returns on Google for “oil spill” because BP bought ‘em up. And then once you find something truly authentic like this Pensacola story, everybody piles on. It’s almost instinctive. Everybody inherently understands how this insidious game is played…
So, I didn’t mean to be rude to DE. It’s just that once you see this stuff it begins to dawn on you that there’s a helluva lot that we’re NOT seeing. Mind you, the Pensacola beach story is just what’s happening on the beach. I can’t find any reports on what is happening under the water. It’s all been swept under the rug. There were stories yesterday about burning sea turtles during those so-called “controlled” burns (yeah right), but I’m just wondering what kind of disaster that is causing. The release of all that smoke into the atmosphere has to have an enormous affect. And the MSM didn’t even bother to report on the oil rain in Louisiana or even mention the boat captain who committed suicide…
The list goes on, but I’ll stop there. Sometimes it is overwhelming when people do not understand what is going on. These media distractions are very frustrating. One bright spot, however, which is that the Blagojevich trial is getting very interesting…
Thanks for letting me let off some steam. I apologize to DE. What else can I say?
June 24, 2010 at 7:48 pm
they are saying it’s going to hit our NC beaches before too long as well
I am also a little freaked by the lack of serious, in-depth coverage and have real doubts this will be “fixed” in our lifetimes.

It doesn’t behoove the politicians to allow the people of their states to see what they have allowed Nom. Shameful. They should be tarred and feathered, beginning with Ken Salazar and his BFF Barack.
June 24, 2010 at 9:30 pm
DE is an uber guy. I think he is trying desperately to understand how they could let this happen. I mean really, thirty years and they knew what could happen yet they continued on the same path. Why is the money never enough?
