Non-Compliance Topples Arizona Traffic-Cam Program.
In January of this year Arizona began considering the shut-down a state-wide traffic cam program. This is because there was wide-spread non-compliance. Many, many citizens of Arizona simply refused to pay their tickets.
Beautiful!
And now the verdict is in. They shut it down. The citizens won ‘” not by fighting the state, but by ignoring the state.
The State, as an institution, thrives on confrontation. The best antidote is peaceful non-compliance. Simply ignore the State, disengage, and the State is rendered impotent.
Through the highway camera system, it was hoped that an additional burst of revenue would roll in. Instead, it became a massive drain on the state’s budget. Not only did it not bring in the hoped-for revenue, it didn’t even make enough money to pay for expense of installing and maintaining the cameras.
The citizens simply ignored the tickets that arrived in the mail. The state of Arizona doesn’t have the money nor the resources to follow up on the unpaid tickets. To top that all off, a group of activists went around vandalizing the traffic cams ‘” icing on the cake.
Kudos to you Arizona. Enough is enough!

Bringing back the Wild West are they? Wish I could just ignore the IRS!

I think that this behavior is civil disobedience.

In our area, if you go through a red light on a traffic cam you will have 30 days to pay it or make a court appearance. If you don’t do either, your drivers license is automatically suspended and it will cost you big time to pay the fine and an additional fine for ignoring it. Although, there have been some changes made because they were ticketing you if you even went a couple inches past the white line when coming to a stop. The courts were full of cases of those fighting those tickets. I have the feeling that our traffic cams will be here for a very long time.

It’s the same here. I think that they couldn’t get the illegals to pay up. Texas doesn’t want to make undue hardship for the criminals, so they cut them breaks for which I pay up the wazoo in insurance premiums. If you get hit by a Mexican national, the cops don’t go after them. If you try this shit in Mexico, they place you in jail, confiscate your car and hold you until someone comes forward with a wad of cash to release you.

Americans would call that kidnapping and ransom, but we just give free parties and a free life if illegals get caught here.
Didn’t some one once say that “money can’t cure stupid?”

we have those freaking things all over here in NC: the money doesn’t even go to the state, but to some outsourced thugs, & they shortened the yellow lights so one would have a harder time not running a red light. people get near them and just floor it or slam on their breaks depending.

They cause more rearenders than anything else.

I’m sure the auto repair shops and the brake repair shops are very grateful!
HEY! Maybe they also own stock in that outsourced to firm!!!!!!

Civil disobedience is a good tactic. The illegals not paying infuriates me- why are they allowed to get away with all this? Driving without license, insurance and proper safety inspections. Driving up ins for all of us!
If we tried to get away with it- we would lose our license and have our vehicles impounded or some such.

That’s right.

There’s going to be a lot more going on in this country that will call for people to just ignore the “law”
What would they do if everyone who was “required” to buy health insurance told them to take a flying leap? They can’t enforce a law that the majority ignore. I’m thinking this will be the only way we can defeat them.

I’m thinking along those lines. Yes, they are hiring many for IRS work in anticipation, but it won’t be enough. I foresee a lot of people saying “no” to the feds. What are they going to do to the homeless?
