“There is no question there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some. And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded,” she said. “How is this being ginned up that here we are talking about Treasure Island, something we’ve been working on for decades, something of great interest to our community as we go forward to an election about the future of our country and two of the first three questions are about a zoning issue in New York City.”
Calls to investigate the funding for those proposing the $100 million “Cordoba House” have fallen on deaf ears, though, as New York’s Mayor Mike Bloomberg has described such an investigation as “un-American.”
Ms. Pelosi called the Ground Zero mosque an “urban development decision” for New Yorkers to work through.
What’s going on? Is the KoolAid being tampered with? Harry Reid better watch out. Let’s face it, Harry doesn’t know which way is up or down lately. The video with Harry opposing Birthright when it was the right thing to do.
The problem for Obama is that he appears to have taken seriously all the “change” stuff he promised during his campaign. And he has been unable to make the transition from candidate to president.

She states POTUS “very clearly” endorsed the Ground Zero Mosque in his remarks to a gathering Muslims at the White House for a Ramadan Dinner. Backtracking now is “silly” according to Cokie. You know that this was tough on Cokie. She was a major KoolAid drinker. I’m surprised she didn’t swallow her tongue.
Perhaps Cokie et al should help POTUS out since they are clueless about what this mosque means. Oh wait, that would mean that they would actually be doing some serious research.
The erection of a mosque upon the ashes of this atrocity will also be viewed by many millions of Muslims as a victory–and as a sign that the liberal values of the West are synonymous with decadence and cowardice.
Someone needs to tell POTUS that this is not a “present” vote.
