Update: Denial from the White House. The article from yesterday said that they collaborated on this book.
Details of the private conversation, which took place at the White House during an official visit by Nicolas Sarkozy last March, emerged in Carla And The Ambitious,
a book written in collaboration with Miss Bruni.
In certain circles many of us would reply, “toughsky shitsky!” What an ingrate!
Michelle Obama thinks being America’s First Lady is ‘hell’, Carla Bruni reveals today in a wildly indiscreet new book.
Miss Bruni reveals that Mrs Obama replied when asked about her position as the U.S. president’s wife: ‘Don’t ask! It’s hell. I can’t stand it!’

Let’s see: 27 servants, plus maids, etc; free trips around the world with an entourage of hangers-on; the best medical treatment on the planet, gratis; all the sleeveless tops she can wear; hundreds of pairs of shoes (size 11); Wagyu beef and lobster du jour; a fawning press turning moronic statements into gems of wisdom; kids in one of the finest private schools in the country; and, best of all, Oprah’s private phone number.
Our colleague Papoose coined the best description ever of moilsoc: “moaning ingrate.”

btw, it is hell–for those of us who have to pay her way and hear how charming and fashionable bigfoot is.

The outfits are sheer hell to look at, then you add that nasty personality and what do you have? A bitter clinger.
(Last pic of her showed a huge wedgie, hence the clinger.)

Are you sure about that size 11? All that lobster seems to make them look like a 15.

The electorate is in a bigger, hotter hell than that asswipe is experiencing. Oh poor, poor michevil….go to Kenya and be their queen.

This was left at Uppity’s comments.

This story smells like the distraction media hit piece from hell.
Suddenly, today’s ‘big story’ is Michelle’s vulnerability casting her as a victim of politics. Aha, a victim! Yes. That word seems curiously akin to the way in which other ‘victims’ of the ‘economy’ are supposedly collectively feeling right now…
Ah yes, Michelle, the common person – the one with whom we can all relate – a victim…
And to further complicate matters, the blogosphere has picked up the story that was scandalously “leaked” by the MSM, and of course the victimization of Meeeeeechelle only adds fuel to the already glowing fire of charges of, well, you guessed it – racism…
You know, if I had my druthers I wouldn’t even bother commenting on this crap much less chronicling it. It’s so easy to understand if one were simply to cross that imaginary line in their mind’s eye to comprehend how elites come to the defense of their fellow insiders…
After all, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy knows well how this game is played having been an insider in the entertainment world…
September 16, 2010 at 9:07 am
It’s all in the journal’s documentation of the “victim.”
Carla wants to make $$$$. She wants a life of freedom with lots of $$$$. She knows exactly what she is doing.
September 16, 2010 at 12:15 pm
And Carla is willing to…..
wait for it……
DO WORK TO EARN IT!
What a shock. Free-loaders as Barry and Larr..Mary…er Michelle would never think of earning their keep!

You know POTUS has a book out now where he uses the kids, but they are off limits unless he can make $$$ of them.
September 16, 2010 at 5:17 pm
No I didn’t know that.
Obama’s lackey, lap-dog media is falling down on the job – since they’re not promoting his “book” 24/7 non-stop!

It also plays well as an “exit” for Bam…marriage on the rocks, Mechevil cannot take it any longer, yada yada yada.

I think Carla’s calling the shots in France. The veil law was a clever ploy, the theme of which, sexual repression, was literally handed to the media and the politicians on a silver platter.
After all, women like Carla know how the game works. She knows that the veil is a tool used to exploit women, and by virtue of the new law women are being required to identify with Carla, not their husbands.
As far as I’m concerned, Carla rules. She is pro’ly the only person who can save O-What’s-His-Name right now. If Carla was American I’d say she’d be elected POTUS in a heartbeat. She understands the media. She knows it from the inside out. She comprehends its power, and she is aware of the huge role that sex plays in it.

That’s an understatement.

She “plays” the media, the way the media likes to play others?

If molsoc is denying it, she’s calling the wife of the French Head of Sate…a liar. Popcorn and a ring-side seat: oh boy!

Mary, anyone who would publicly state that they were proud of the country for the first time in their lives is what they are. She shouldn’t deny it.
