Yesterday, on Sunday, September 19, 2010, the Obama family attended church for only the third time in a year. They went on foot to the St. John’s Episcopal Church situated across the Lafayette Park.But what is widely not reported by the White House and the MSM is that on that particular Sunday in that particular church, Dr. Ziad Asali, M.D., a Muslim, founder and president of the American Task Force on Palestine, was the guest speaker. He was there to speak on the subject of “Prospects of the two-state solution in the Middle-East.”

Yes, they did. The whole family took communion as well.
The President and First Lady Michelle Obama, along with their daughters, went up for Communion.
So there, he is not a Muslim because he took a picture.

The Obamas did not violate church discipline, because the church in question is so lax about imposing it. The website for St. John Episcopal Church in Lafayette Park states, “St. John’s welcomes all to receive Holy Communion with us.” Even at the denominational level, The Episcopal Church and the Anglican communion historically does not require confirmation to receive the Eucharist, welcoming instead “all baptized Christians.”
Obama was reportedly baptized by oogady-boogady Reverend Wright at the Trinity UCC.

Just shaking head as I can think of nothing to say. His putting in an appearance does not make me change my mind- after all he probably wasn’t paying any more attention than he did at Trinity. After all he sat in the pew listening to Wright for 20 years and claims he didn’t hear a thing that would lead him to believe Wright was an America hater.

While many of the “liberal” ECUSA churches are lax about enforcing communion rules, it is incorrect to say that Anglicans and even Episcopalians of all stripes, at large, are lax about such traditions. ALL 1928 “traditional” or “continuing” churches will enforce the rule of not taking communion unless confirmed by a priest of a continuing church. Any person who knowingly violated such would be guilty of disrespecting long-held traditions and principles, and would not be invited back unless open to instruction in better ways. What the Obamas have done is offensive to me. I had to be confirmed BOTH in the ECUSA *and* in my continuing churches, AND by the Bishops in both cases. The Book of Common Prayer has quite a number of notes regarding those who unworthily take communion. Frankly, the fact that the ECUSA is tearing its congregations apart over this issue, as with gay bishops and making generations roll over in their graves as those who sacrificed to build churches are seeing them stolen by those they would never have approved of. And where is the worship of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit? NOWHERE in what Obama does. All Obama has done is make traditionalists even angrier. I don’t think any thinking will change because of this one outing. QUI VERITAS?!?

Hello Catherine. The rules are for other people. He has the manners of a goat. He was there to listen to the Muslim lecturer on Palestine. If it isn’t about the Muslims, he is not interested. He is a hypocrite. No one will forget this one.

So the more and more we learn—the more and more it makes sense. Lets see now —a church that proudly displays on it’s web page its affiliation with a political organization that is affiliated with a community organization that secures millions for low income housing that has Saul Alinsky attached to it’s beginnings which has lectures by Muslims on splitting Israel that dah duh — also offers communion to one and all.

Which I think is pretty cool. Wonder if Obama and Co. will show up then?
