She has to use a pony cuz dogs are unclean. Most of you know that I volunteer at an animal rescue organization. This email was sent to me by the President of the organization.
Another WTF moment brought to you by Islam.
The psychology student used three years of savings from her job at a Braille proofreading company to pay for a horse to be trained to act as her guide.
Blind woman buys guide HORSE as strict Muslim parents consider dogs unclean.
Well, the National Federation for the Blind is opposed to using mini horses for guide work.

Hell, why dudn’t she just ride the damn thing…
And people wonder why Muslims never win wars…

I dunno? Personally, I think a pony poo is far larger than a doggie poo.

Dos are’t unclean; Muslims are.
November 17, 2010 at 12:43 pm
Make that: Dogs aren’t unclean; Muslims and their horse-shit “religion” are.

Well, there is a matter of paybacks PsstCmere. Don’t think that she is going to take all the blame herself. If anything, there are great whispers laying money on “revenge.”

just as with seeing eye dogs, seeing eye mini horses are largely rescues. an animal which successfully passes training lives; if it fails, chances are it dies.
the little mini horses do not simply poop where they are standing, they are trained animals and respond appropriately. there are other advantages as well: that little horse an see 50 years of age.
there are people who are allergic to dogs, and afraid of dogs: why not a little horse or pig? they are loyal, affectionate, and in need of a home. this blind woman may well have saved that little horse’s life.
I am all for it.

“can see”
November 17, 2010 at 8:58 pm
I don’t begrudge her having a horse. It’s another animal that will work and be saved. I am troubled by the reasoning behind it Nom.
November 17, 2010 at 9:15 pm
I’m not bothered at all by her reasoning: I vastly prefer cats to dogs; if I were blind and I could get a seeing eye cat over a seeing eye dog, I’d take a seeing eye cat. If she prefers horses to dogs, fine.
If she’s a good owner to her little guide horse, that’s all that matters to me. She isn’t under an obligation to like dogs.

Didn’t anyone tell her that horse is still just a pony?
It’ll end up being bigger than she is!
November 21, 2010 at 10:34 pm
How much did it cost to train the horse?
Do restaurants let her in with the horse?
Can she go to the symphony with the horse?
Does she go grocery shopping with the horse?
Who cleans up after the horse when it goes turding?

That is going to be a large dump.
