They couldn’t even watch…those cowards.
One staffer who attended the House briefing this morning asked the TSA officials, essentially, why are we doing all of these intelligence operations if we are going to treat the entire traveling American public like terrorists, the staffer relayed. “Why fund this huge intelligence operation if we are going to treat everyone like terrorists?”
via TSA uproar moves to Capitol Hill. Don’t forget how those TSA agents were culled.

“Don’t forget how those TSA agents were culled.”
the suggestion a pizza delivery person is somehow unworthy to work in an airport is classist. there’s nothing disgraceful in performing any sort of work well.
November 23, 2010 at 1:09 pm
No, it’s the pizza box silly. It has nothing to do with the work. The world may order pizza, but recruiting with a pizza box is not the standard.
November 23, 2010 at 2:52 pm
maybe, but jmo it seems very obvious the people reading the most of those boxes and thinking about another job are the delivery persons, not the pizza recipients; and the cashiers waiting on the people with the $50 fill ups, not the people paying for them.

I do believe that this advertising was meant for the masses buying the pizza. Everyone loves pizza.

My neighbor’s kid never read any of the boxes because they were always inside a warmer bag. She delivered and eventually was manager.
$50 fillups? Perplexed, gas?
November 23, 2010 at 6:28 pm
yes, gasoline

Well, for clarification’s sake…the TSA wants 1 year screener background and/or Xray technician work for a year.
It bothers me greatly that they advertised this way. Do you know that the TSA people who are working with the scanners are not allowed to use vests? Any Xray tech is going to question that one right away. While they advertise to everyone, they are also imo hoping to corral many unsuspecting individuals. I was working on the Letter from UCSF which explains why this is a problem.

it seems unlikely there would be enough trained people available— and as you say, if one is aware of the danger, one would probably prefer to keep working for the hospital-doctor-dentist-etc where one is at least allowed protection—
one imagines they will have to train many of the new hires on the job
November 23, 2010 at 8:26 pm
By the looks of it, there is very little training and those that are being trained are not really understanding much. I can attest to that personally.
November 23, 2010 at 6:24 pm
well this will spread to trains….
It’s amazing to me how many Americans don’t seem upset….
November 23, 2010 at 6:50 pm
crap, it’ll probably be in Starbucks before all is said and done
November 23, 2010 at 7:16 pm
Oh wca, I am seeing and hearing a lot of angst. No more flying for many of these people that I am seeing in the office.
I used to have to schedule everything around their flying time, but not anymore. Priorities.

This is Obama’s revenge for Americans rejecting and defeating his Obama-crap Party at the start of this month.
Notice how all this new TSA crap started immediately after Obama got solidly rejected at the polls this November!

Yes, this is his jobs program. Screw the bottom line guy…let them touch junk! And spread disease…you notice that they use one pair of gloves to touch everyone? Would your doc do that?
