We all hope it will stop, but it doesn’t. Just when you thought creep had been defined, we learn of someone who redefines the word.
A nurse punched a frail patient who walked with the aid of a Zimmer frame and was in the last stages of life, a hearing was told.
Emma Trubody, 36, is said to have thumped the 46-year-old man who began to cry before telling him his ‘crocodile tears’ would not help.
The patient, who has not been named, was suffering from kidney and liver failure. He died six weeks later.
via Nurse ‘punched dying frail patient who walked with a Zimmer frame’. Another loser who shouldn’t be taking care of anyone but herself. What is this woman doing in the healthcare profession? Someone, anyone…why? I can think of many professions where she would never have to be bothered. I hope she enjoys prison.
Then again, maybe she can join the freaks that were identified assaulting disabled patients?
Authorities have identified two of the suspects recorded in sexual assaults of profoundly disabled women, officials said Friday.
Los Angeles police officers recognized the men after detectives went public with artist sketches and photos of four men on Thursday, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Dan Scott said. As many as 10 suspects could have been involved in the assaults.
One of the suspects, Bert Hicks, was a worker at a Los Angeles care facility and had already been prosecuted by police for two felony sex counts and two abuse counts. He is currently imprisoned at Tehachapi State Prison and scheduled for release in 2012, Scott said.

The videos show the men sexually assaulting physically and mentally disabled women, some of them in diapers.
Real gems.

There was a nurses aide at VA hospital who slapped an elderly veteran patient. This happened in same room that my husband was in & on late night shift. This I think happens when there’s no family members who visits.
This is also why I keep watchful eye in VA when I go there & keep my cell phone on me at ALL TIMES.

I’m so sorry arlenearmy. I don’t understand why these people choose this profession. It is a difficult one. As often as there are rewards, there are also terribly difficult times and patience must be priority number 1.

One imagines that the majority of caretakers who are abusers are simply overworked, underpaid, and underappreciated and are looking for someone on whom to unleash their frustrations; however, it’s not unlikely that many of them— including all of the worst of them, like those mentioned— joined the profession in order to have people over whom they had power.

Hear Hear Nom! Power hungry and mean!

Nom, I have seen old people give their savings to caretakers in order to not be sent to a harsher environment. I’m sorry, but if you don’t like cleaning diapers, feeding people, etc. they don’t have any business in this field. The problem is that there is a great need. It is only going to get worse. They know exactly what they are getting into. There is no excuse.
You are right about having power over them.

” To thine own self be true ”
Anyone with 1/2 oz. of honesty should know their limitations & character flaws…Especially those who have immediate impact on the lives of others….like healthcare pro’s…teachers…cops…etc…
We are all human but certain professions have an increased moral responsibility because of the risks to the vulnerable….

WCA this is the age of the narcissistic personality. I suspect we will be seeing far more of this than we would want to see. It is a very sad statement about the caretakers of the future.

Age of the “narcissistic personality”….Gee that makes me think specifically of one big freeloader….ok, actually two big freeloaders……

The story of the creeps who raped the disabled women really upset me as a parent of a disabled daughter. I will someday not be around to protect her from the evil in the world.

Imust, I understand what you feel. Someday, there will be no one to watch them. You see it, and if you report it, the government entities are too overwhelmed to investigate. People drop through the cracks everyday.
