He’s a nut. Colonel Gaddafi aka batshit crazy means it too! He’s on the warpath. He only has 5,000 soldiers that he can count on (there are 45,000), but he will wreak chaos because he is not going anywhere.
There’s been virtually no reliable information coming out of Tripoli, but a source close to the Gaddafi regime I did manage to get hold of told me the already terrible situation in Libya will get much worse. Among other things, Gaddafi has ordered security services to start sabotaging oil facilities. They will start by blowing up several oil pipelines, cutting off flow to Mediterranean ports. The sabotage, according to the insider, is meant to serve as a message to Libya’s rebellious tribes: It’s either me or chaos.

You bet! All hell is breaking loose- how many countries over there now? Algeria, Tunisiam Bharain, Yemen, Libya- and don’t forget lebanon which is teetering. China is shutting down protests.
And the Iranians sent their two warships through the Suez today to park practically on top of Israel.

Barky may have the gas, but we get to pay for it. We should be drilling. I’m sick of these a$$holes holding oil over our heads. We should be doing everything that is possible and available within our borders.

If funds were available, I’d get solar for whole house & for water well. Of course I’d have to drive less because my truck takes gas.
I’m not too sure if the banks are going to letbus get our $$ if all this happens.

We have little in reserves. If the assclown decides to blow up the wells, we are atleast 1 year from starting up any wells. Can this country go 1 year without? All hell will break loose.

This country don’t know how to ration. Before we run out, expect us to be just like Haiti — all the trees chopped down for heat & cooking. Gas generators would be useless. If u got solar generator, u better guard it w/ your life cuz folks might kill you for it.
I’m not fear mongering. But I do remember how folks acted when we had terrible ice storm several yrs ago. They acted like it was end of the world. Lot of folks were unprepared could not buy firewood, water or propane at any price. No hotels were available & the ones that were avail had no electricity. And that’s when folks really panic.

We are a comfort country and it’s difficult to shake that entitlement mentality. I can do without a lot, but my elderly neighbors are not physically capable of much anymore. They would be the first to go in a panic. The infantile children would sit and through a tantrum for the most part.

Surely you jest we’d much rather keep pumping our dollars into some ME shit hole so they can use that money to buy our weapons to use against us or to arm some terrorist group, so then we have to make more weapons to fight them…..or something like that.
I agree we should have already been tapping our own resources, but after the gulf spill that is even less likely. We should also get serious about alternative energy and stop boondoggle pay offs like corn ethanol.

There is no reason not to drill. Our government did not do it’s job. They play politics all the time. I will venture to say that whatever new alternatives there are, they will ruin as well.
Just think about how long the oil reserves will last.

If its true what Gadaffi said, then expect another Jonestown Ghana incident. But in apocalyptic porportions. I heard that Gadaffi plans on blowing up the oil fields. And if he does, then it’s over.

I think his own people want him gone yesterday. As I understand it, there are many tribes that he has quashed in Libya. He only has loyalty from the 5000 hand picked troops. I think that many of them will defect. Then there is his mini me son. The apple sure doesn’t fall far from the tree.
I also think that there are many in the ME that still want the status quo and are willing to take him out themselves. The Saudis don’t care for his tactics either.
