Trump Will ‘Probably’ Run as Independent If He Doesn’t Win GOP Nomination.
Donald Trump will “probably” run as an independent candidate for U.S. President in 2012 if he does not receive the Republican party’s nomination, he told the Wall Street Journal in a video interview on Monday.
“I hate what’s happening to the country,” said Mr. Trump, a real estate tycoon and host of the NBC show “Celebrity Apprentice.” He will not formally make a decision until June, however, when this season of his television show is over. “I can’t run during the airing of that show,” Mr. Trump said, “I’m not allowed to.” But he said he would make an announcement “by June” and his candidacy looks increasingly likely.
He’s got the money and he certainly has the country’s attention.

I don’t think Trump will run as an independent if it means to benefit Setero ala Perot…But it’s too early to tell.
He met with Huckabee on Friday.
Huckabee was interviewd by Laura Ingraham yesterday on her radio show….
He said Trump is Serious…he agrees with his stance on China & Saudi Arabia etc.

I think he’s going to force the GOP’s hand. Either way, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride. lol

Here’s the direct link to the interview…
The money quote :
When asked about a possible Huckabee/Trump ticket…Huck said Never say Never…
Interesting….
Also it’s interesting that suddenly Michelle Bachman ( so called Tea Party candidate ) suddenly decided that it was OK to demand Soetero reveal his records…blech…I guess Bachman suddenly realized this hiding of records was a constitutional issue? Sheeeesh!
April 12, 2011 at 6:31 am
Well, never say never means that anything is possible. Bachman is a poll / fence sitter. Isn’t it terrible that it has all come down to one person who has no fear of being called a racist?
April 12, 2011 at 7:32 pm
“Isn’t it terrible”
Or wonderful, McN, depending on how you look at it. All I know is that Trump is doing what the media should have done in 2008.
April 12, 2011 at 8:44 pm
He can Mary. He doesn’t have anything to lose and he’s not afraid of anyone. Bam’s team must be seizing.

Don’t go there wca. hahahahahahahahaha I think that at some point I read that the guy has over 16 ss#s in use?
April 12, 2011 at 6:28 am
O’Reilly will not do his job on the ss. He was told to back down before.

great open letter to Trump…
“Barack Hussein Obama Sr. was a Kenyan visiting student in the U.S. in August 1961. Stanley Ann Dunham was a citizen of the U.S. but too young under the law to confer even ordinary citizenship upon her offspring in August 1961.
And there’s another problem with that document. Hawaii had a long history of handing out those “short-form” certifications of live birth to parents and grandparents as registrations of births that actually took place elsewhere – including other countries.
The Constitution requires presidents and vice presidents to be “natural born citizens” because the founders wanted to ensure no one with divided loyalties could ever become president. Baby Obama would have been born, under his own scenario, as a subject of the United Kingdom, which presided over its Kenyan colony at that time.
That’s why I want to see the birth certificate – the real birth certificate.
I don’t trust Obama to tell the truth about anything. His autobiography is full of falsehoods….”
“In 2008, Republican presidential nominee John McCain faced major media scrutiny over the question of constitutional eligibility. Everyone knew McCain was not born in the U.S. So the U.S. Senate held hearings and demanded to see McCain’s long-form birth certificate, which he willingly produced.
The Senate inspected the document and determined that McCain was eligible because both his parents were U.S. citizens, passing a non-binding resolution sponsored by, among others, Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
In other words, even if Obama was born in the United States, which has yet to be demonstrated with hard, reliable evidence, it’s still, at best, an open question as to whether he meets the constitutional test. There were no hearings on the issue – non-binding or otherwise. There were not court tests….”

“Stanley Ann Dunham was a citizen of the U.S. but too young under the law to confer even ordinary citizenship upon her offspring in August 1961.”
This statement is based upon the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, but it has been revised since then and the revision in 1966 at least would apply to BHO.
http://www.americanlaw.com/citabrd.html
(the part concerning 1952 starts first) “…In the case of a child born to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent, the U.S. citizen parent now had only to be physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions prior to the child’s birth for 10 years, at least 5 of which were after the age of 14. “Physical presence” was different from the concept of “residence” which had applied under the previous statute. The physical presence requirement could be satisfied by mere presence in the United States even if the person had not established a legal residence there.
The physical presence requirement was intended to preclude extended absences from the United States during the required period. However, it was found to be too restrictive. In 1966, Congress passed an amendment which, for children born on or after December 24, 1952, permitted the transmitting U.S. citizen parent to count presence abroad in the following capacities towards the physical presence requirement:
1. honorable service in the United States Armed Forces;
2. employment by the United States Government;
3. employment by an international organization with which the United States is associated; or
4. physical presence abroad as a dependent unmarried son or daughter and a member of the household of a person employed in one of the above categories.”
One imagines that one of these could be tailored to fit even if it were not true.
article continues with more updates in 1986…
“The Immigration and Nationality Amendments of November 14, 1986 further liberalized the transmitting U.S. citizen parent’s physical presence requirements. For children born on or after November 14, 1986, a child born to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent would acquire U.S. citizenship if the U.S. citizen parent was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for at least 5 years, at least 2 of which were after attaining the age of 14 years.”
In other words, the trend has consistently been a more liberal attitude towards citizenship to children born to a US parent or parents. It would take a court case and the court cases will not accept one, to rule against BHO.
However, if it were proven that BHO were illegitimate, he might fare differently.
Details are in the article, it is quite interesting.

Anything and anybody that forces the media to do the job they should have done in 07 and 08 is a godsend.
The sycophantic faux journalists could belittle and ignore us poor bitter hicks. They will have a much harder time ignoring the donald.
April 12, 2011 at 6:24 am
I am not sure that any of the bs that went on in 07 and o8 is going to change. They have been placed on notice. Seems like the Donald will be speaking for the bitter clingers which is fine by me.
April 12, 2011 at 10:27 am
I’m a bitter clinger and he sure as f$ck isn’t speaking for me: he’s another bailout-taking billionaire oligarch.

rrrrflmao….um yeah…
** Best chance Trump has is to raise such a STINK about Soetero’s past ( and the coverup ) & link it to his dismal record… **
Seems to be what he’s doing. Good Strategy.
NOBODY has ever really attacked Soetero like this before…HRC was TIMID in comparison…Trump will not be intimidated…IF the stink he raises riles people up Soetero will crack under the pressure

This is EPIC….
New York v Chicago….
Trump’s already got the goods on Soetero…He wouldn’t have started this fight otherwise…Guy is in it to WIN…just sayin’

Excellent point, WCA. Very.

Aaaand he’s makin the GOP sweat….Hmmmm….Why is that?
Because their candidates are weak? Romney…Please…

“Even seemingly better news for the incumbent, at least at first blush, is the identity of the GOP candidate currently tied for second place among would-be nominees. He is an unpolished and graceless blowhard with garish tastes and an ego even bigger than Obama’s. He is real estate mogul Donald Trump. And these qualities—his boorishness and in-your-face attitude—are precisely what makes him a force to be reckoned with…”
“The first inclination of news junkies and pundits is to laugh—to ask whether Trump has even heard of the “birther” controversy. The surprising answer is that he has not only heard of it but is in the process of reinventing it….”
” Rather it the mere fact of his ongoing presence in the campaign. The longer Trump harps on the subject of Obama’s birth certificate, the more doubt he raises in the minds of impressionable voters.
The question of whether the president was born in America is not and never was a serious one. It doesn’t have to be as long as enough voters are curious about it….”

GOP doesn’t want this can of worms opened either….because Soetero was NEVER vetted & GOP lost their spine when it comes to the “won” & their base is constantly harping on it….

Trump is going for the “traditional” GOP base?

IF Trump wasn’t goin after Soetero with BC & Rezko I’d think he was a plant…This is gettin interesting….
These folks do not want Romney….just sayin’
April 12, 2011 at 7:22 am
Sounds like Trump could be the GOP’s hired gun, if you ask me.
Whether he runs or not, he’s doing a great job of bringing light to issues that The Changeling would rather keep in the shadows
April 12, 2011 at 7:39 am
GOP is STUPID to dismiss him…Even Huckabee sees that…
Rove et,al. are pissin their pants cause they want to push brother Jeb & their OWN base is sayin’ Hell No!
This is why they are dissin Palin,Bachman etc…
The Tea Party proved that Folks are fed up with establishment politicians doin DC corruption the usual way…I mean boehner is on notice…
But What IF Trump could unite all those fringy constitutionalists….Hmmmm…
April 12, 2011 at 8:43 am
That’s the plan from what I’m hearing.
There is a schism in both parties, although the “progressive” Dems (Obot Nation) has managed to purge themselves of the Blue Dogs, who were our last chance to retain any kind of fiscal responsibility.
The GOP has other problems – the old Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld Neocons, holding on to their control for dear life, not even succumbing to the Tea Party’s rubber bullets being shot at their fingers.
Trump (for the GOP) is most likely the most efficient way to appropriate change within their ideology: Bring in an Independent with a big mouth (Donald? are you listening?) to do the heavy lifting, then stand on the sidelines so they will assume little or no accountability to the old fucks who refuse to pay attention to what their base wants from them
April 12, 2011 at 10:29 am
It’s too soon to run another Bush: he’s the plan for 2016. Meantime they need another one termer. BHO couldn’t get reelected if he ran unopposed by either party. Anyone who thinks Trump isn’t being paid to go on the attack for the mysteriously-for-once-silent Palin is dreaming.
April 12, 2011 at 3:52 pm
Not as cynical as you are yet, Nom. And I don’t believe I ever said that I didn’t think anyone was making it worth his while.
What I do believe that he is (willingly) doing what the GOP doesn’t have the balls to do themselves Nor am I totally convinced that Palin has been anointed.
No need to be so hard-assed.
April 12, 2011 at 6:36 pm
there is neither a gop or dem party because the leadership of both is entirely owned. anyone these 2 fronts put up and finance is just another shill.
I can’t fathom the sudden enthusiasm for a parasite bailout recipient like Trump. He is absolutely no different than BHO: he has made a fortune off the rigged financial markets: anyone who thinks he wants a change in the status quo other than the direction it is going under BHO is delusional. Trump and BHO are just 2 different franchises of the same owners.
I followed the whole natural born citizen thing and did my part to promote it back when it counted in 2007 & 2008: there was an opportunity there to pursue it and keep him from successfully benefiting from a rigged primary. But BHO is already installed. It’s over and done with. There isn’t a court that will touch this before the 2012 elections. Furthermore, the general legal trend has been towards a loosening of prior restrictions: if it is ever decided it will be in favor of those in positions like BHO. And frankly, that is not something I wish to see. I see absolutely no value in making it easier for some foreigner a la another Schwarzenegger to become a US president, which is what will be accomplished should a court ever accept this sort of a case. Not real interested in some freaking half Grimaldi one day assuming the presidency, thx.
and I’ve got a great ass thank you very much.April 13, 2011 at 7:18 am
Nom- Nobody’s denying the fact that we’re living in a 2 party dictatorship.
The fact that Trump can shoot his mouth off and renew interest in this topic is good enough for me.
Agreed – too late now, he’s installed, and also, I doubt anything can be done to undo any of the harm his decisions have caused. But to know that someone with (imo) no intention of seriously running is in fact running a year long “campaign” against a faux “leader” is reward enough in itself.
That said, the enemy of the enemy is still my enemy. I just look forward to the day when every opponent in 2012 shows up holding their long form BC, leaving The Changeling empty handed.
BTW – never doubted your greatness in any capacity!April 13, 2011 at 8:44 am
Gosh Anthony, everyone handing out their birth certificates in an msnbc debate would be fabulous.
April 13, 2011 at 2:40 pm
“But to know that someone…is reward enough in itself.”
I might think so as well, except that, if Trump is hired— and we both agree that he is— this bc business is in support of the selected candidate, who is another BHO.
I don’t want their new selection (no matter who it is) anymore than their current selection.
So I don’t want to do anything that helps the new selection, and the bc business plainly is intended to do so.
“That said, the enemy of the enemy is still my enemy.”
Exactly.
NEVER LET THE ENEMY SET THE NARRATIVE OR YOU’VE ALREADY LOST.
The bc business may look like red meat but it’s a trap.
April 13, 2011 at 3:52 pm
The bc is unfinished business.
April 13, 2011 at 7:05 pm
The birth certificate is just a bell ringing and there’s no dinner.

One more before I head to work….this from an interesting essay & why Trump resonates with a lot of people…Worth the read…
“And anyone who watched the Today interview would have to come away with a clear sense that Trump is his own man. Most likely, the Donald Trump we see on The Apprentice is as close to the real Donald as anyone gets to see. With Trump, what you see is what you get; there are no holds barred and no punches pulled. Sure, the ego is on full display sometimes, but the man has also clearly matured with age.
Sorry, Meredith. Starring in a reality TV show probably won’t work against Donald Trump. If people have been watching closely, it might actually help him to get elected….”

Well one more again cause it’s good…
from the article…( American Thinker is diggin the Trump thing…and probably driving hits to the site…)
“But with Trump, Collins apparently lost her cool, giving him all of Carnegie Hall to play his fiddle in.
So Trump got his talking points into the NYT, along with an audience of a million liberals who would normally shut their minds to any words critical of Barack Hussein Barry Soetoro Obama, Jr.
That was her first big mistake. Here’s the second one, which is much worse. Here’s the little tiff between them, with Trump losing the spelling bee, but Gail blowing her elementary logic — something she doesn’t have much need for in her day job….”
