Obama Administration punishes reporter for using multimedia : Bronstein at Large.
White House officials have banished one of the best political reporters in the country from the approved pool of journalists covering presidential visits to the Bay Area for using now-standard multimedia tools to gather the news.
The Chronicle’s Carla Marinucci – who, like many contemporary reporters, has a phone with video capabilities on her at all times – pulled out a small video camera last week and shot some protesters interrupting an Obama fundraiser at the St. Regis Hotel.
She was part of a “print pool” – a limited number of journalists at an event who represent their bigger hoard colleagues – which White House press officials still refer to quaintly as “pen and pad” reporting.
Barack Obama’s father was a serial womaniser who was warned to stop ‘playboy ways’.

yeah but at least he knows how to run the economy
/s
April 28, 2011 at 7:15 pm
I disagree, he’s tanked the economy. Those jobs are not going to sustain the amount of outflow.
April 28, 2011 at 7:16 pm
lol, mcnorman, read the article, and look at the sarcasm tag “/s”.
it says almost a million people were turned away from getting a fucking mcjob.
April 28, 2011 at 7:21 pm
Ahh Nom, I just had to josh you. Today was just as awful for people who lost their homes and loved ones. I have to find the moments to laugh a bit. Thank you. Did you see the Walmart story?

I don’t know if people are truly aware of how difficult this situation is going to become? I’ve been stocking up on the staples. I know everything is going to go through the roof.

remember the civilian army? it looks closer every day; no doubt it will be billed as a grand alternative to fighting for a mcjob.
April 28, 2011 at 7:39 pm
I have no doubt Nom. Then Barack can say that he created jobs as well.
April 28, 2011 at 7:34 pm
what he does isn’t a reality show, it’s a reality check.
April 28, 2011 at 7:41 pm
True.
April 28, 2011 at 7:39 pm
that lightning strike sure came close didn’t it?
remember the joke about the bad golfer?
Golfer: Dammit to hell, I missed the putt!
Golf partner: You shouldn’t take the lord’s name in vain.
Golfer: Goddammit, I missed again!
Golf partner: You shouldn’t talk like that!
Golfer: Jesus freaking christ!
Bolt of Lightning: Whoosh!
Golf partner: xxx
Voice from the clouds: Goddammit to hell, I missed again!
April 28, 2011 at 8:01 pm
That one is really a good one. hahahahhaha
April 28, 2011 at 7:17 pm
Just kidding. Nom, you are on a roll! How’s the weather holding up? I seriously worry about you.
April 28, 2011 at 7:32 pm
weather here is fine, storms rolled on out, sun came out, it’s a little too hot for April but damage in NC was pretty minimal all things considered.
April 28, 2011 at 7:41 pm
Good, but I have to warn you that tomorrow begins another 50mph+ cycle. Those days turn the south into Hell.
April 28, 2011 at 7:55 pm
yeah the weather people put it coming through here for Monday
it sure has been a very turbulent year for weather so far; sure hope it isn’t the “new normal”.
April 28, 2011 at 8:02 pm
This is a bit late in the year for us. Normally, all of March is wind month. April is smooth with very few raindrops.

hopefully y’all will get some rain too, been following your awful fires; very scary
April 28, 2011 at 8:21 pm
we don’t really have lots of wind by a TX definition in any month; March is probably the windiest for us too.
Hurricane season for us is from June to November with the peak in September; tornadoes are mostly a late winter into early Spring occurrence. Spring is considered good when the rain is abundant, but around here we get on average somewhere between 3″ to 4 1/2″ per month every month (in the winter a little of that is snow). It used to be July-August was our rainiest, but not so much anymore, we’ve had a lot of long summer droughts in recent years.
April 29, 2011 at 5:42 am
It’s always sustained wind for us. The eat is continuous.

Interesting reading over at Mish’s Global Economic Analysis about the future of job growth and retirements….
“53% Worry About Not Having Enough Money in Retirement; Implications of Boomer Retirement Plans”
“In 2000 it took about 150,000 jobs a month to hold unemployment steady. Currently Bernanke expects it takes 125,000 jobs a month to hold the unemployment rate steady.
I expect that by 2015 it will only take 90,000 to 100,000 jobs a month to hold the unemployment rate constant.
However, there are millions of individuals who want a job and do not have a job but the BLS does not count as unemployed because they stopped looking for a job. Should those workers start looking for jobs, this too would put upward pressure on the participation rate and unemployment rate…..”

More developments of which you may not have been aware.
(Right from the beginning of Obama – I’ve declared that Obama was making America safe for slavery once again!)
“President Obama’s Slave Trade; Senator DeMint Says Team Obama Acts Like Thugs; Death of Right-to-Work?
Suppose you own a profitable, legal in all 50 states, business and want to expand or reorganize your operations.
Now let’s suppose that someone came up to you and said “Sorry boys, but you cannot do what you want with your business. You cannot go anywhere you please. See those balls and chains on your feet, boy? I have the key and I say you are staying right here. I am the slave master and don’t you forget it.”
That is exactly what President Obama said to Boeing.
Labor Board Seeks to Halt Boeing Move to South Carolina….”

Japan’s cataclysm, record floods, record tornaoes, and no one says, “Hey, guess who’s in the Oval Office!”

I’m simply heartsick ove the treatment being accorded Trump. He was never a racist until he started gaining in the polls. Amazing, isn’t it/1
April 29, 2011 at 5:44 am
Mary, Trump is a big boy and he’s shoving it right back.

Obama and his lackeys have managed to combine the worst elements of Carter and Nixon.

He’s one for the record books RPL, there is no denying that.

Historic
April 29, 2011 at 9:05 am
I am so sick of all the reporters who ignore Obama’s strong-arm tactics and sit by idly while their fellow reporters are treated in this way. Whether you agree with their politics or not, they should stand up for their own. One day it may be one of them in the banished list and they will wonder why no one is standing up for them.
April 29, 2011 at 9:57 am
I know. I look at the devastation of the wildfires and how Barack doesn’t care too much for Texas. He will bend over backwards for any state that kisses his gnarly rear.

Then there are these freaks. http://thinkprogress.org/2011/04/28/tornado-global-warming/
WTF? They got hit with storms because they deny global warming?? When did they open the asylum doors and let these nuts out?
April 29, 2011 at 11:14 am
So, what they are saying is that “Mother Earth” is punishing the States that don’t believe in that clap-trap global warming bs? I see…so what’s next? Is Al Gore going to tell us that tornadoes have eyes and can see which State to go to?
They are a bunch of freakin’ loons and they say that Sarah Palin in nuts?

Yeah to quote “Absolutely Fabulous” – the TV show….Barack Obama Sr. was popping out babies like a lawn yard water sprinkler!
