Royal Wedding hat sells for over $130,000 on eBay.
Now for the serious news. Joplin is almost gone.
75% of the town is gone.
I’m speechless. What does one do with this?
Erstwhile Moo and Boo are having a good ole time.

Anyone stupid enough to spend that kind of money on that ridiculous hat deserves it.

I suppose it could be called art, but in my neck of the woods someone would have had a paintball gun ready to go. I must be one of those gun clingers.

You cut out the center and use it as a very fancy hemorrhoid cushion.

I have a post about the tornado. My niece lives in Joplin and was in that Walmart just before the tornado hit. When they made the announcement to take cover, she did what I thought was a stupid thing at the time…ran out to the parking lot with her friend and drove home. Her two young children were at her house with her friend’s mother and she wanted to get there. Lucky for her she escaped in time because I just saw the pic of the Walmart after it hit…it’s on my blog…it’s totally destroyed. When I talked to her last night she wasn’t aware that the Walmart was destroyed yet.
Her house is 10 minutes from the devastation, they only lost electricity but had a generator so was able to use her land line phone. Most of her neighbors were at her house using her phone last night.
What a mess.

Less than four months ago, Joplin was having blizzards…
Just sayin’ is all.

Good God. I know why she ran. It was instinctual for her to want to protect her children. Glad she made it home.

Nunly,
I’d say your neice is blessed.

Neither of those two look like they are enjoying embracing barry’s Irish roots.

Prayers to all the people of Joplin – what a horrific experience. May God bless them and comfort them during this heartbreaking catastrophe.
