Let’s face it, would you want the likes of Weiner in charge of your healthcare? By no means do I believe that anyone is protecting Medicare at this point.
“What should control health care isn’t IPAB. It isn’t even Congress. What should control health care is the relationship between doctors and patients. Injecting more government into the equation only punishes patients and squeezes out the cutting-edge science that could treat them. This is just one more reason to contact your congressmen and tell them to not rest until ObamaCare is laid to rest,” Perkins said.

These immoral asshats will go to their death trying to convince us that there’s not such thing as “death panels”. They don’t know anything else but lying…that’s what they do best…and the so-called “progressives” just eat it up.

GMTA Nunly!
That is about what I was going to post.
Do we really want Weiner, Obama with his O-Bought Zombies, and
Hippi-Critters sitting on those DEATH PANELS????????????

With the “CYA” syndrome running rampant in D.C., when would they have time to actually get some work done, or do the right thing. They have their priorities, themselves and lining their pockets, and I don’t see any change in sight. How could there be with this crybaby-in-chief?

You know that none of this applies to these assclowns or their families. They get an indemnity plan courtesy of us.

I need to make a comment here about what government does in the area of medical care and regulation. I used to work for a psychiatric program that was “accepted” by Medicare – meaning we met the SSA regulations and our Medicare patients had a major portion of their charges covered by Medicare. Well, Medicare and the SSA began to change the rules. In fact, the rules changed randomly and without warning – sometimes daily, sometimes twice a day, sometimes once a week. When the program guidelines did not change quickly enough to meet the new regulations (retroactive to the date the changes were put in place), the program was found to be “out of compliance” and NOTHING in the patient’s treatment was reimbursed. Thus patients were left owing for treatment – or the hospital left “eating” the charges. Remember, these regulations changed without warning and without advisement. Hospitals, already short staffed, would have had to hire someone solely for the purpose of watching the SSA website for changes to the regulations. These constant and inconsistent changes seemed to have no other purpose than to eliminate treatment programs. It was too bad, really as our program was very good, and treated some of the most dire patients. But we ultimately had to close – as did many other programs in the city. This left hundreds of patients without care. or rather without the quality of care they had seen before. We still have some of those patients who come to us looking for treatment. And sadly, if they have Medicare, there is little – if anything – we can provide for them.
So no, I don’t want IPAB or any other gov’t – run agency or bureau to stick its nose in the medical field. There is too much room for the kind of abuse I have already seen.
(I hope this made sense. I’m really tired and falling asleep at my keyboard.)

leslie, I completely understand what you are saying. Good grief, I deal with their stupidity on a daily basis. Yes, the rules can change at the whim of someone’s finger. The government or the ivory tower clowns that have never practiced in private practice governing our healthcare is not ludicrous, it is DANGEROUS. They don’t know anything. They dictate, but without rhyme or reason. I work on the medical insurance end of all of this and it is beyond a nightmare already. I might as well subject myself to the local witch doctor because atleast I know what I am getting there. Like you, I know that they purposely alter the rules all the time. Patient be damned.

Damn them all to hell! It was bad enough BEFORE oblowme- and it just keeps getting worse and worse. The bill that had to be passed to find out what was in it.
Yeah- Sebelius gets to make up whatever rules she wants, when she wants. O’s promised civilian corps is funded in that supposed health care bill. Lots and lots of goodies for the govt in that piece of crap.

“I Don’t Want The Congress Critters In Charge, Do You?”
They are not in charge, with very few exceptions. http://landdestroyer.blogspot.com/2011/03/naming-names-your-real-government.html

Geez, Nom,
We might just as well throw in the towel right now. I don’t know how or why you read anything any more. This is depressing and totally demoralizing.
It isn’t that I didn’t think some of this was true (the stuff I actually knew about) but to see it in print with these links is just too much.
This proves that “the more things change, the more they stay the same.”

People need to know exactly what they are truly up against in order to plan effectively how best to deal with it. While the best case scenario would be a mass migration of officials and their puppeteers to Kudzu Valley Georgia to join the Yukio Mishima Cultural Association, one finds this hope to be somewhat tenuous.
The likelihood of besting militarily the world’s most sophisticated armies seems also implausible. Not to mention, jail construction goes on apace both abroad and at home. But people can reorder their own society to something much more cooperative on the neighborhood level. If one cannot stop armies from simply seizing one’s backyard produce, then one can devise a neighborhood strategy to keep mafia or cartels from setting up shop. One can pool knowledge and develop training programs in useful skills that mitigate some of the worst effects of a sudden drop in affluence: gardening/farming, tool making, machine repairs, sewing, plumbing, carpentry, first aid, family planning, hunting, hand to hand combat, energy generation,…We are simply not going to have what we had.
