I find myself surprisingly and uncharacteristically “Smitten with Mittens” at this point, and would be able to pull that lever without batting an eyelash.

I thought they were like cassava. They’re poisonous, so you have to soak them and cook them (one can also ferment them). But after you’ve done all the work you can eat them and they’re common as dirt.

I think this might just become the GOP’s next ad, don’t you? I see a field filled with piles of “shovel ready” jobs. Gary Johnson is a fun guy, the kind you want to sit and drink a beer with and that is as far as you want him in politics.

“Saudi King Abdullah announced on Sunday he was giving women the right to vote and run in municipal elections, the only public polls in the ultra-conservative Gulf kingdom.
He also announced that women would have the right to join the all-appointed Shura (consultative) Council, in an address opening a new term of the council.
“Starting with the next term, women will have the right to run in municipal elections and to choose candidates, according to Islamic principles,” he said.
This means that women will be able to take part in the elections that will be held in four years, as the next vote is due to take place on Thursday and nominations for those are already in.”
