Issa Issues Subpoena To Holder In Fast And Furious Investigation.
Rep. Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, sent a subpoena Wednesday to Attorney General Eric Holder as part of his investigation into the gun trafficking operation known as “Fast and Furious.”
“Top Justice Department officials, including Attorney General Holder, know more about Operation Fast and Furious than they have publicly acknowledged,” the California Republican said in a statement. “The documents this subpoena demands will provide answers to questions that Justice officials have tried to avoid since this investigation began eight months ago. It’s time we know the whole truth.

According to the complaint, last Spring, Arbabsiar met with an informant from the DEA agent in Mexico posing as a member of a powerful cartel. Eventually Arbabsiar allegedly offered money to the informant to assassinate the ambassador for $1.5 million. Arbabsiar allegedly wired $100,000 into a U.S. bank account. Arbabsiar allegedly confessed to his participation in the alleged plot.

The case, called Operation Red Coalition, started in May when Iranian-American Arbabsiar from Corpus Christi, Texas, sought help for the assassination from a Mexican drug cartel and inadvertently approached a US informant.
Arbabsiar allegedly wired $100,000 to the informant as a down payment for the $1.5million assassination fee.
According to the complaint, Arbabsiar told agents he was recruited, funded and directed by men he understood to be senior officials in Iran’s Qods Force.
He allegedly said these Iranian officials were aware of and approved of the plot.

Time Capsule Found At Former Bellevue Hospital Medical College « CBS New York.
A few weeks ago, that building at East 26th Street and 1st Avenue was demolished.
The contents of the time capsule were recovered and they’re now in the hands of New York University bacteriologist Dr. Martin Blaser, who says it was no ordinary time capsule.
“In addition to papers from that time and materials from students from the Bellevue Medical College and the newspaper the New York Sun from 1897, it also had a test tube that had some bacterial spores in it that were gotten and cultured from a patient in 1896,” Blaser told WCBS 880′s Alex Silverman.
Blaser says his team is trying to wake up those spores and grow them so they can study the organisms.
“We are interested in the question of whether seventy years of antibiotics is changing the organisms that live in the body. The organism that was put in the time capsule was a normal organism that lives in the human body. By having this organism and comparing it to present day organisms, we may have a chance to answer the question of whether our own organisms are changing or not,” said Blase.
I understand why they are excited, but I have to wonder what happens if these little buggers become viable?

I am now the first college graduate in my generation of the family, and frankly, I consider these idiots to be on the wrong side of history.
We care not for your idealistic views and support for cradle to the grave welfare. We have seen such things called for in other places and watched how their failures brought those places to their knees. We also have yet to see a coherent message. Rage for rage’s sake is ineffective, and a waste of time and sanity. You are not focused, and as such, we do not get what you are trying to say. (I also add insignificant, I wonder how many of your parents are thinking of cutting off the money by now. I’m sure your grades are suffering from a prolonged ‘field trip’.)
We’re a hard working lot and we comprise most of America. So go back to your poetry readings and other such useless babblygook. Once the real world bites you, just note it wasn’t the man that brought you down.
