Unlike Mittens (the guy running for that last six years), this guy just doesn’t have the bright, shiny, slicker, snake oil salesman pitch. We already know what happens when we buy the slick and polished guy.

I just can’t see myself voting for any of the republicans, much less BHO. Looks like another year of 3rd party voting.
November 10, 2011 at 12:24 pm
They all suck. Not a single one among them (including The Changeling) that I would vote for.
But, being in NY, which will NEVER be anything but blue, I’d vote for any of the R’s just to make the margin smaller…..

I hear you Anthony.

Funny how Barack’s gaffes never got around the same way Tommy. He forgets the name of his kids, calls 57 states, etc, but he’s still regarded as an eloquent speaker by the msm.

Who the hell is Perry’s campaign manager? Did he never hear that stumbling speakers would do well to carry note cards?
November 11, 2011 at 7:37 am
I don’t think anyone had the cajones to tell Rick that he would have to slicken up. He’s a good ole boy. He’s won the governorship, but Texas is another country and that is his problem.
November 12, 2011 at 7:23 am
Perry is from West Texas so he talks like he’s from West Texas & It’s hard to polish that up to impress either coast.
If LBJ hadn’t had years of debating under his belt (1937 – 1961) he would have debated about as well as Perry.
Texans don’t formally debate so much as either converse or holler (depending on how much we’ve drunk).
I say Perry should just cut loose and be himself & let the chips fall where they may.
November 12, 2011 at 8:20 am
He’s no slicker wca. He said that at the beginning. It would have helped immensely if he had decided much earlier to run (kept it secret) and began working on that debate skill. Cain is no slicker either. The audience wants to hear and see the guy that can swing in any tree. I agree with everything that you are saying. He should just be the man that he is. One thing that I would have said prior to his getting into the race…I don’t think that this country would want another Texan in that house yet. Just my thought, but I think it was too early for him to run.
And what’s wrong with West Texas anyway? hahahahhahahaha
November 12, 2011 at 8:21 am
The Kennedy snots really hated LBJ. They couldn’t stand the man for lack of polish. Personally, I thought the guy got dumped on. The pant order by LBJ is for you WCA. lol

Well I sent Team Perry some money the morning after the debate. I read his plans on his website & I live in Texas….Besides Perry cracks me up in a good way. (I guess it’s cause he’s from West Texas)
I want to drill, and have the pipeline & secure the freakin’ border. I’m also sick of this demonizing pandering to bigots saying Latinos as the cause of our woes (Screw Tancredo!) None of the candidates have been to the Texas Border (DC avoids it like the plague) And the wall in Brownsville is a stupid disaster…because when the engineers came down here hey suddenly realized Hey! there’s a 1200 mile shifting river here…D’oh! The Rio Grande is protected by 3 International Treaties, a Tri-State Compact between Texas, Colorado & New Mexico, and Congressional Legislation as a Heritage River so a wall or fence on the Rio Grande aint’ ever goin to happen & It won’t happen in Big Bend National Park (A giant canyon) either.
Mexico’s troubles are getting worse and we’d better be prepared for dealing with that civil war. 45,000 Mexican citizens have been murdered by these Cartels & nobody will be serious about either the border or Mexico.
Tonite’s foreign policy debate will be the chance for the GOP contenders to chat up the middle east but Perry will probably be the only one who talks about the threat to the US coming up from South America into Mexico & It’s scary as Islamists partner up and influence the Drug Cartels. China will begin drilling for oil of Cuba’s coast in December. Fun Times.
Here’s the link to his jobs plan which will boost both energy and manufacturing industries across the country. Texas has diversified under Perry and has led in exports for 9 years (mostly from manufacturing)

WCA Perry is okay. He is not the chosen one. Every week another is up on the polls…this time it’s Newt. We are watching another selection occur. I can’t stand Mittens. I find the guy to be Barack’s equivalent.
November 13, 2011 at 6:50 am
Well you know what they say about Perry down here…Don’t count him out till it’s done over.
That LBJ pant order cracked me up.
Newt’s rise won’t last after the media reminds everybody why the GOP drummed him out in the first place. I think it will come down to Mitt and Perry & it will get bloody but I’m ok with that. Latinos won’t vote for Mitt but they will for Perry (The man who called Tancredo a racist)
Perry did well in the debate last night..He cut loose.
His New ad “I’m a doer not a talker” is a hoot.
